This is my one gripe with Kenny, and the reason why I question his managerial nous. All season we've seen players who simply are not being up to it, be it due to lack of form or overall class, being played week in, week out. I truly believed that either Maxi or Kuyt with their experience would start the final, but we've got Downing AND Henderson. I still don't get it.

Who does guarantee success?

1. Do we know who has the final say with transfers? Is it Kenny, or is the decision a joint venture between the two, perhaps including someone else as well? They do that at Ajax, sign players relying on collective wisdom, so to speak. 2. It's not as much steaming in to tackles as it is closing down players and keeping the opposition ball carrier under pressure. This is what we're lacking badly: in Downing, Henderson and Adam there's not much effort to do the harassing when being closest to the ball. And there's defo not a tackle between them. And they've all been signed in the same window.

Plus we have two doing that if you include Downing. But the latter is improving, was involved in both our goals today (even thou the first was a s*** shot from him and pure accident that the clearance landed to Coates.) Downing is improving and becoming a threat, Henderson's form is going absolutely nowhere. Adam has gotten worse since autumn - which I never thought that could be possible.

Moving both will be as ingenious as getting rid of both Meireles and Aquilani last autumn. Transformation has to be done gradually, in each position. Or bring two hellishly good wide players at the same time.

Was a really awkward position to take the rebound to be honest. Did well to get it goalbound.

Few pages back many were saying Aquilani wanted to go back home. He didn't. He wanted to stay and fight for a place but Kenny saw it differently. According to Comolli, anyway: Liverpool chief Damien Comolli has explained releasing Alberto Aquilani.Aquilani has joined AC Milan on-loan for the season. Asked why Aquilani was allowed to go after impressing in pre-season, Comolli said: "With him it was more a question of opportunities to play. Wonder if Liverpool FC is going to do anything about this or not? I think it was the right decision to accept the ban as it most probably is more beneficiary for Suarez to have a rest and get away from it all. But I for one hope that the club will keep on protesting this s*** verdict. By not contesting the FA Suarez, Kenny and the club are left with a stain that will not easily wear off.
