No problems. Just seemed an analogy to me.

Everybody's different thou. How does Sami not being big on the gym but still strong as an oxe translate to Andy Carroll? To me Sami's game was more about positioning than strenght. Carroll could certainly learn a thing or two about the Sami kind of physical presence. Now AC barges into people alot.

Still playing for the Welsh, is he? Thought he had given up on the internationals.
-
I'd swap Adam for Spearing for bite and urgency.
-
I almost feel sorry for the Bitters. Almost.
-
f***ing Atkinson. That's just s****, even thou it's our gain.
-
Not seen much of Adam, apart from when he's been left stranded by the opponents.

Where's the couldn't-agree-more-button when you need one?
-
Yeah I know, and agree. But Carra uses his arms often as he can't rely on his legs. And the ref's have noticed that. He should defo be benched and used as fourth choice. Hope to god he doesn't start next week.

To be fair Carra comes across all Redknapp here. Come on man, you don't need to see the incident againto know you put your arm around Walters. Admit your mistakes FFS. http://www.liverpool...feel-aggrieved? "Going off what the lads have said, they are adamant we should have had a penalty," said Carragher. "I was too far away to see. But we have had one go against us and a couple not go for us today, so we are a bit aggrieved. "At the time I thought their penalty was harsh. I haven't seen it again and will need to have a look before I make a judgement. It might have been or it might not have been. "We'll go back disappointed because we wanted to come here and get three points. We performed quite well and when you do that you normally get three points. But that's football. That's the Premier League. It was Stoke's day today but we can be quite pleased with how we performed."

That's some good news, that.

Haha! Jol demonstrated his flimsy grasp on English humour in saying, "Yes, my brother’s called c**k. What’s so funny about that? It's stupid. c**k is just a nickname - a short version of his name. I mean, what's so funny about that? It's his name and my other brother's name is Dick." Makes me wonder if it's not the journo who the thick one here. To me that's perfectly tongue in cheek from Jol.
-
Heard that Jol's brother is something of a thug with, alledgedly, criminal contacts and who works for his brother doing a lot of "persuading" and "fixing". Was told this by a Ajax supporter, don't know the validity of this or any details.

Exactly. We have assembled a very solid squad of two good players challenging for each position. Enrique and Downing will do great, hopefully Adam will too, and one shall have to hope that Henderson, Carroll and Jonjo will develop into the players they can be, while Dirk and Maxi can justify their presence in the squad for another a year or two. So, solidity first and the future in mind, that is a perfectly sound approach to things. But I think that the team's still missing a real class act or two to replace the good but limited players of the Dirk&Maxi ilk. Therefore I strongly feel there's a chance of doing business in the January window with the likes of Hazard, when there presumably is less competition for his signature. Another thing is that Suarez, who hasn't had a proper rest for two summers now, is likely to have a drop of performance levels due to fatigue at some point of the season, which would leave us very thin in the final third. So, while Bellers is a fantastic signing who can be useful as a replacement for Suarez (when he needs to be rested), I think we could do with another unpredictable runner in the team. We have pace now in Johnson, Downing, Enrique, but they are, although good dribblers, pretty direct. We need another wizard. It seems that Hazard's head is in the right place too: it seems the lad is perfectly content in staying put; he wants to have a crack at CL-footie with the team where he rose to prominence. And quite right too, more players of his ability and pull in the transfer market should stay longer at their clubs before moving to the really big stage. Oh, and his name is among the greatest in the history of everything.
-
LOt of talk about Hazard next summer, but feck that, I say January! When Lille's out of the CL (and most probably not doing particularly well in the domestic league due to their European exploits), we could prize him away then, like we did with Suarez. Less competition during the January window. All this talk of that we have an option to buy, might well refer to an agreement that once they're out of the Big Ears, we can buy for a fixed sum. Pure specualtion of course. That cause they never put any money into it. That's why.
-
Because against the views of some poster earlier on I do think that the Meireles and Bellamy deals are connected. Ok for Raul to leave if we get the player we want. Not like-for-like replacement, but neither was Carroll to Torres.
-
Not a question of being thin in CM, but in creativity, final third, that sort of thing. That looks a bit thin, unless Henderson or Jonjo proves to be a smash hit. And Stevie stays fit.
-
That obviously was released only when we decided to agree to sell. Must have been handed in or agreed on to be handed in hours, if not days ago. No-one hands in a transfer request that late if it's not settled long in advance.
-
Why all the schit aimed at Raul? He probably doubles he wages going to a team managed by a compatriot. Which one of us wouldn't do that?
-
Aquilani and Meireles are both quality players, and losing both leaves us a bit thin on creativity. For a long season with injuries and loss of form, we have question marks hanging over Gerrards fitness, Maxis legs, as well as the inexperience of both Henderson and Jonjo. Now we really need Gerrard come back blazing. Bit worried about the situation actually.
-
That bad, eh? Poor Stoke fellas. Well, Crouchinho fits in well.
-
Meireles to Chelsea? £22M thank you very much.
