Also, don't forget the increase in revenue next year from the new tv deal. So if they have be tight 1 or 2 years until it kicks in so what? Also, they could always sell Cesc for 40-50mil...
I think it also was saved for legal reasons. A lot of managers will be thinking 'phew'. However, you don't do 9 months of research without having the info. I expect there will be more noise about it, but we have to be realistic. FA, UEFA and FIFA have no interest in cleaning the game, and therefore the punishments will be nothing anyway. Perhaps a few fines but nothing serious like bans, points deductions, regulations etc. Things will just continue as they are. You have to wonder how that youth player can stay at Boro now though.
What I don't understand, is that when we sell a player we have to pay out his contract right? So when there is a player like that, surely it just makes sense to write it off, and get him out now.
its not the end of the world if we lose. I would like to see a clean sheet, but it means nothing ifwe cannot continue. Do you really think that Arsenal are out of it? and they are in a worse position than us!
not forgetting that chelsea have lost a game too. What about arsenal? Are they really out of it are they? It seems that people have forgotten, its one game at a time.
This has been happening for years. As far back as I can remember since Sky got involved, there has been a 1pm kick off. Get used to it. In fact, the club should be used to it now too.
gotta feel for the chelsea fans. roman can pay ballack 150k a week (or whatever it is) 25mil for dogba, and still charges 60 quid for the fans to see the game. He'd get a lot more respect if he charged 10quid for the games and gave season ticket holders for more than 3 years, 1 season free. Its not like it will hurt a lot, but the PR they would gain.... Still, if their ground is empty, I'm happy.
a clean sheet, first since april. Gerrard, Alonso, Kuyt, Crouch, Bellers, gonzales, pennant, fresh for sunday, and a point away from home against a decent team. Ok the performance was a bit poor and not worth rising at 4.30am for, but regardless of that, I think its a bit early to get the knives out.
well, I think after the recent issues, it was a priority to keep a clean sheet. If we can do the same against Chelsea, I will be happy. Also, don't expect us to win the league this season, but absolutely expect us to win it next season. by then, all the players would have bedded down and know what Rafa wants. This season expect us to play and perform better and get more from the games with the other top sides. a good run in a cup comp would be nice too.
I wonder how Rafa missed out on him? From all accounts he is another cesc and barca are pissed that he has gone. Personally, I reckon any player who comes through the youth team at any club should have a 35% sell on fee, with the transfer having to contain certain payments based on appearances and international caps.
companies buying players for non football reasons ie profit = slavery. Sure, if the player makes it, he makes a s*** load of money. However, what happens if he doesn't? Or has to move to outer mongolia without his family? the easiest and quickest thing to do, is to ban agents fees being paid by the club and ban non-football entities owning player contracts. If the player wants an agent, pay him yourself.
So the table is like this at the minute: scum 4, 4, 0, 0, 12 russia 4, 2, 0, 1, 9 us 3, 1, 1, 1, 4 spurs 4, 1, 0, 3, 3 a*** 3, 0, 2, 1, 2 Just to put it in perspective. We have a game in hand, and chelsea have already lost a game too.
