How could anyone say no to bringing coutinho back? The guy was excellent for us. Ok, he left us midseason, which obviously wasn't ideal. But in fairness to him he gave his all every time he put the shirt on. Besides, imagine seeing him lining out for them Manc rats. It would be like watching your missus getting gang banged

I'm 37 and I can safely say Van dijk is easily the best centre half I've personally seen pat for us. He's like a taller Paul Mcgrath. I do believe that Joe Gomez can reach the same level as van dijk. I thought his early season form was outstanding. He didn't look at all beneath van dijks standard. If anything, he often out performed the big Dutch man

Didn't we claw back 4 just before Christmas? It's more than doable, but no denying we have to play a but better than we have been of late
-
Admittedly I've been an hysterical quim at times. I have to day your post is spot on. The media and other teams fans can f*** off to. Everyone was whinging last season when city ran away with it. Now that someone has actually stayed the pace with city, we're accused of bottling it. When the stark reality is, City are an excellent team.

He had a decent game yesterday, but unfortunately for the likes of us, utd, Chelsea and arsenal, our current midfielders have to live up to our last batch of players, which where simply outstanding. We had Gerrard, Utd still haven't replaced Roy Keane. Chelsea are trying to replace Frank Lampard and arsenal haven't replaced Viera. Unfortunately these players are few and far between. So the ones that are around are wanted by everyone. Keita was the Henderson replacement, but the fact remains he hasn't lived up to expectations.

I mean as in impact to a title winning charge -
last time City where ahead of us, and we where chasing, they s*** the bed and lost 2 games in 4 days. im not saying thats whats going to happen, but they've a stack of games to go through over the next few weeks. lets see what happens

But do you really think we'd have bought Allison if the Fekir deal went through? I for one don't, and the keeper was far for important for the team. But no denying we needed someone of his ilk though. I just don't think we had the money to do so. Unfortunately....

The only way we win this now is if city slip up, and relatively quick. I think our team need a confidence boost of seeing city lose, and dare I say the league and other teams need to see city lose a game to show everyone else they're only human to. I won't deny I think the chance is gone. But we've still done fantastically well to be fighting with the richest team in the world for such a long time. OK we're probably a player short, but we've done it with our own money, the hard way. Let's not forget the great job this team have done so far.

Didn't utd always make a habit of bringing something either back from injury or obscurity to help them in a title run in. Hopefully chamberlain can be our Machedo -
Credit where it's due, he's been solid enough since coming into the team. None of those stupid Lovrenisms anyway. Mind you, I think even I'd look half decent playing beside van dijk.
-
i think id give my left testicle to have Gomez back right now. Im actually surprised how well we've done since he's been out if im totally honest, because he was playing to the same level of Van Dijk before his injury. The guy was playing so bloody well. When is the international break by the way?
-
Credit where it's due, he's not nearly as stupid as Lovren. Could you imagine how many free kicks Lovren would have given away today.
-
a midfielder that can add 10 goals a season is an absolute must. Henderson, for all his running does not offer anything in the goals department. Wijnaldum has the ability, maybe he needs releasing a little???? Keita hasnt worked out, not to say he wont, but so far he hasnt, Another decent centre forward to help out Firmino would be great to.
-
That hasn't exactly gone to plan though has it? What has happened to Woodburn, he's just kind of fallen by the way side hasn't he.
-
Fair play to him. He's certainly making the most of his few moments of fame. I hope he makes himself a few bob along the way and please god gets to sing at the victory parade
-
In the video that Webster lad mentions he has to go back to work. I presumed he was a professional musician. Any idea what his day job is?
-
You could add another 5 to that. However with coutinho in this side, you wouldn't have Virgil van dijk or Alisson.
-
I'm not buying into this blaming Alisson stuff. I'm sorry, I just can't. I'm trying to judge the goals he's conceded which he should have saved. And I can only think of the 3rd crystal Palace one. Both man City goals where perfectly hit. The Leicester one was a f*** up by the defence. The one last night hit the inside of the post. I'm probably judging him through rose tinted glasses but I think we've been unlucky in that the few shots he's conceded have been perfectly hit shots
-
This is hilarious, Besides I think 1 of the Palace goals, pretty much every goal that has been scored against Alison has been unsavable. All the goals hit the inside of the post. He's only human ffs

thought we played ok there, nothing spectacular, but appeared fairly in cntrol. Then Robbo does a Lovren and gives away a f***ing pointless free kick. I hope to f*** we just go on and win this -
Is the big man suspended? I thought he only got the one yellow against naploi?
-
I think what sets himself, de gea, and even ederson above the rest is not simply their better at saving shots, but more so their positioning. To the naked eye it looks like more shots are straight at them, but the reality is their starting position is better than the rest of the keepers. Personally, I believe Alison is the best around at the minute. Maybe it's his hair, perhaps his awesome beard, or maybe those big blue eyes. Either way, the big handsome b*****d is legit!!
