Apparently the news was on the internet before Suarez heard it himself. Radiostation called him to congratulate and he answered that clubs we're still negotiating.
The club went to the stock a few years ago and earned a lot of "own" money. I'm led to believe they still have "own" money, but due to the losses being made for years now, it is not as much as it was. And they will have a positive turn over this year because they made the CL.
As almost every match their players playing between the lines are causing us the most problems. When the second goals is not scored, you just know everyone will get anxious. Thats the charasteristic of a team without any confidence at the back. Please sign some players with pace at the wings.
His agent has been saying that Babel prefers Ajax and Hoffenheim is only an option if we don't want to loan him our for the rest of this season to Ajax.
Babel is willing to reduce his wages at ajax to succeed in a loan deal in combination with the transfer for Suarez. He doesn't want to move permantly to another club as he thinks it won't benefit him in terms of getting used to his teammates on the pitch. Source: Dutch Telegraaf
He didn't. Apparently it had to do something with his family being threatened with kidnapping or something. This went public only a year ago or something.
Only problems which they have caused us are with long balls from free kicks and crosses. And when a player thinks in a situation "ah, someone will fix it" then they almost got some advantage from it. We also need to be more alert to second balls.
I can understand Kenny's idea about Spearing. He will be the one who will be "catching" anyone who tries to play between our midfield and defence. Poulsen failed at it on Wednesday. If it will work is another thing though.
You could play anyone (except Poulsen of course) next to Alonso and it would work (Momo, Masch, Gerrard, Lucas, Didi). Problem is, if you take Alonso away then you cant play anyone next to who is playing.
Watched the Munich game yesterday. Van Bommel can still handle the pace in the German league. But our league is a different kind of matter. His determination and leadership is very much required though. He's a winner and we need more of them. PS Would be good for me personally as I know his dad and then I can be a contender for Jay's mum!
Top priority this window is a central defender and a support striker for Torres. We have to sort our defence at first to improve. Combine that with more attacking presence and quality and we will have improved this season. The rest (right and left winger) can be adressed in the summer, although I would favour now as well but unlikely to happen.
Nicked from RAWK but this is so true: People do not make runs before the ball gets played. They just wait for someone else to do something. That's why our football is so transparent and easy to defend against.
Apparent massive lack of quality is clear to see. Our problems won't be solved with just another manager. We need so much new players it's frightening.
They cause us problems when they're dropping between the lines and our midfielders are not close enough. They get to much time on the ball. We also need to win more battles in midfield. Add a liitle bit more cleverness upfront and we will beat them.
