  1. Big difference between us and the top teams: end product.
  2. Makes it impossible for him in this country. He will always be seen as a racist by the public.
  3. It is our strongly held conviction that the Football Association and the panel it selected constructed a highly subjective case against Luis Suarez based on an accusation that was ultimately unsubstantiated. The FA and the panel chose to consistently and methodically accept and embrace arguments leading to a set of conclusions that found Mr. Suarez to "probably" be guilty while in the same manner deciding to completely dismiss the testimony that countered their overall suppositions. Mr. Evra was deemed to be credible in spite of admitting that he himself used insulting and threatening words towards Luis and that his initial charge as to the word used was somehow a mistake. The facts in this case were that an accusation was made, a rebuttal was given and there was video of the match. The remaining facts came from testimony of people who did not corroborate any accusation made by Mr. Evra. In its determination to prove its conclusions to the public through a clearly subjective 115-page document, the FA panel has damaged the reputation of one the Premier League's best players, deciding he should be punished and banned for perhaps a quarter of a season. This case has also provided a template in which a club's rival can bring about a significant ban for a top player without anything beyond an accusation. Nevertheless, there are ultimately larger issues than whether or not Luis Suarez has been treated fairly by the Football Association in this matter. There are important points we want to make today that overshadow what has occurred during the past two months. The issue of race in sports, as in other industries, has a very poor history. Far too often, and in far too many countries, the issues of racism and discrimination have been covered over or ignored. In America, where Liverpool ownership resides, there was a shameful bigotry that prevented black athletes from competing at the highest levels for decades. English football has led the world in welcoming all nationalities and creeds into its Premier League and its leagues below, and Liverpool Football Club itself has been a leader in taking a progressive stance on issues of race and inclusion. The Luis Suarez case has to end so that the Premier League, the Football Association and the Club can continue the progress that has been made and will continue to be made and not risk a perception, at least by some, that would diminish our commitment on these issues. Liverpool Football Club have supported Luis Suarez because we fundamentally do not believe that Luis on that day - or frankly any other - did or would engage in a racist act. Notably, his actions on and off the pitch with his teammates and in the community have demonstrated his belief that all athletes can play together and that the colour of a person's skin is irrelevant. Continuing a fight for justice in this particular case beyond today would only obscure the fact that the Club wholeheartedly supports the efforts of the Football Association, the Football League and the Premier League to put an end to any form of racism in English football. It is time to put the Luis Suarez matter to rest and for all of us, going forward, to work together to stamp out racism in every form both inside and outside the sport. It is for this reason that we will not appeal the eight-game suspension of Luis Suarez.
  4. He definately hates us.
  5. Only 46 years old. RIP Gary Ablett
  6. I would marry him if he'd ask me.
  7. Injuries prevented this and the presence of Carra. When Skrtel arrived it was widely agreed that him and Agger would be our future center backs. At last it is happening and we're outstanding defensively again.
  8. And already training with the reserves.
  9. We look after our own so we're going to appeal.
  10. Straight swap for Jay I heard.
  11. I just fail to see any leads which convince he's going to cut it here. He has a devestating left foot, but bar Man City last season, he hasn't/couldn't use it.
  12. Most of us raised our eyebrows when it became clear we were after him. Can't understand why our management didn't. I feel he was brought in to do a job and help us getting back into the CL. From then we would sign the "better" players who would become interested playing for us again due to the CL qualification. Henderson will turn out a good signing eventually. He just needs time but you can see he has the qualities. I'm pretty sure Downing won't offer us more like he has done now. The same applies for Carroll and Adam. Adam is a good signing for the money he costed us. But would he be in Whiskeynoses starting line up when everybodie is fit? Safe to say he won't. He's a good player but not the quality we had for example. And there are beter players available for sure.
  13. We have improved compared to last season. When you see our bench nowadays instead of last year, then we are much much better. Our pass and move have improved also. We still lack a bit of pace and creativity. When the space is so tight in the finals third then you need players who can create somthing insted of choosing keep passing. We lack that bit of extra on our wings and upfront. To become contenders we still need a 20+ goalscorer a season and wordlclass winger as well. Add these and players like Downing, Carroll and Adam (if Lucas and Gerrard are both fit) will become squad players. And to be honest, thats what they are. They are simply not players who will start every match in a title winning side.
  14. Yep. Eriksen will be class. Already miles ahead in the dutch league. Vertonghen is very average.
  15. Dirk is finished.
  16. Adam having a mare.
  17. Balls, they're f***ing showing Everton-Swansea.
  18. But the shirts are all white.....
  19. The Liverpool players have this evening issued the following joint statement in support of Luis Suarez. Luis Suarez is our teammate and our friend and as a group of players we are shocked and angered that he has been found guilty by the FA. We totally support Luis and we want the world to know that. We know he is not racist. We are a squad of many different nationalities and backgrounds. All of us support the Club's commitment to fighting racism. All of us accept there is no place in the game for any form of discrimination. As a group of players we totally support the Kick it Out Campaign. We have lived, trained and played with Luis for almost 12 months and we don't recognise the way he has been portrayed. We will continue to support Luis through this difficult period, and as a popular and respected friend of all his teammates, he will not walk alone. Well done!!!
  20. In this video he does everything right what he has been doing wrong for us. The current Carroll is so slow on the ball.
  21. I applaud him for that. Difficult decision but right one for the team. Shows us Kenny doesn't care about how many games you've played. You have to perform and do your job for the team and club.
  22. He just needs Gerrrad behind him who can fed him with world class through balls and he'll score a s***load again.
