  1. guys don't even trip... See the problem today was I had school so I didnt get to see the game. However next week I'm skipping school to watch the match on tuesday. It'll be ok I promise. Of course to stay on topic I think Rafa will have somethin nice for them next week, and I hope its in the form of Harry Kewell (never thought i'd say that)
  2. f*** mike hes a bitch edit: sorry for that it wasn't me but mike that was kinda negative wasn't it?
  3. Honestly, I'd be stoked if we got united in the final... I'm honestly more worried about chelsea, and about facing Milan again, alot of those players remember Istanbul and they'll be damned if they let something like that happen again. United on the other hand, Do you honestly think Carra or Stevie would let us lose to them in OUR competition? I say OUR competition because it's ours to lose we're simply better in Europe they are and ever will be, and the scousers and to a lesser degree the other boyhood reds (pennant, bellamy etc...) will know how much it means to Liverpool and that a loss to them of all clubs simply isn't acceptable, especially in a cup final.
  4. Actually I think Cisse's attitude would work well over here in America, especially with the New York fans, they're always moaning about something... (no offense NYR I'm talking more about American football, basketball and baseball fans, i'm sure, with you being a liverpool supporter, that you're not a complete c*nt like the lot of them are) for whats it worth i've championed djibs up and down this forum and still wish he could work it out and play for us but like was said earlier if he can't be bothered to do well for his boyhood club then who will he work for?
  5. Hang on guys... Think about it. How many of you have done stupid things when you're drunk? IF and it's a pretty big if as there ALWAYS seems to be some crap story about our screw-ups in SOME news site, blog or otherwise, before our big games, then it just shows that while they may be better at football than us they aren't necessarily any better people. It's unacceptable behavior but it's not as though no one here has done, or seen anyone do something almost equally as stupid when they were in that condition. Whether they got caught or not is another story but still, s*** happens doesn't it? And the lot of us get more than one chance granted not multi-million dollar second chances, but releasing anyone now is just stupid, Pennant is our best wide-right player besides Gerrard. Fowler deserves more and Dudek is our only experienced cover at keeper. I don't think its true as the BBC and everyone else would have picked up on it by now, but if it is then Rafa will sort it out and I'm no one will be sold just because of this. Where was Rafa supposed to be during all of this anyway?
  6. Didn't we use to have a frenchman with funny hair that did something like that??? Everyone hated him though... Kuyt had issues today definitely, Riise as well but I think Bellamy and Gerrard at the end both left alot to be desired too. Crouch as a sub never strikes me as intimidating either especially when the players seem to feel the need to boot it at him every time they touch the ball after he comes on. Maybe Garcia and his little trickeries would of done us some good today, shame that he's out. All that said I really think we'll suprise people in the Barca matches, and think we can take them over two legs providing we don't conceed more than one away without grabbing an away goal ourselves. I get the feeling Kuyt and Gonzo will be good against them.
  7. yes talented you know what that means right? here let me help you... talented adj : showing a natural aptitude for something, possesing skill or talent [sYN-Gifted] I supposed I should have clarified talented in an ATHLETIC way...
  8. THANK YOU GREAT ONE FOR YOUR MARVELOUS EXPLANATION. I'm sorry for questioning your infinite wisdom. seriously thats all you can say? Any reason as to why IN YOUR OWN OPINION he's better? Thank you, seriously this time, for actually talking the point with me. Actually, I think Cisse just refuses to change, obviously he has the ability to change as he was doing great for France before the chinaman broke his other leg, and I think he COULD do that for us, but for some reason is against the idea of changing his play in a Red shirt. While I agree that Rafa seems glad to be rid of him and I ultimately trust him, I guess I'm just not satisfied with Bellamy as a replacement. I've never been impressed with him before he came to us or now. Its a shame that someone so talented (Cisse) can be such a stubborn cn*t though...
  9. I was thinking more along of the lines of "closing down defenders makes the fans not hate me and makes me harder to drop from the 1st team" but I suppose he could be learning that as well... One of you care to explain how Bellamy is any better? I don't have a problem with Bellamy mind you, but I don't think he's better than Cisse in the least bit.
  10. I dont know about all that but he'd still be here thats for sure and first choice with Kuyt maybe he's finally learning something...
  11. Thats great for Djibs, I wonder what him and kuyt could do in the same team sometimes. Funny how he was our highest scoring striker last season, and without a goal by him (admittedly off a beautiful long ball by Gerrard) we don't win the FA Cup. Yea, He's rubbish...
  12. Allow me to correct myself. He was our top scoring STRIKER last season, and just maybe something would have clicked with him and Kuyt of course he's injured and on loan to Marseille at the moment so its all really irrelevant i suppose. Exactly.
  13. Funnily enough I was thinking the same thing... I know most on here didn't think much of his attitude but he was our leading scorer last season, and maybe him and Kuyt could have been good together. Course he's injured anyway so its not a big deal and if Rafa feels we need him then he'll recall him I suppose.
  14. Liverpool have always stood by him he just makes some very rash decisions his bad publicitiy overshadows the good now for lots of charity work by the wat did you see himsigning a copy of notw just before half time whilst waming up Liverpool have always stood by him he just makes some very rash decisions his bad publicitiy overshadows the good now for lots of charity work by the wat did you see himsigning a copy of notw just before half time whilst waming up

    notw

Any scouser knows the score on this f&*% him captain or not its inexcusable never forget Hillsborough
  16. witchkunt threw that bottle at the Shangri la no what I mean la the knives are out he stabbed the fans in the back lets hear his retraction
  17. So is Stevie G it's obvious Him and his missus are not exactly pulling in good PR at the moment
  18. Fowlers was just as daft full of self pity it was never his fault
  19. karma gets him his missus can join him in the notw he will not get favors nice timin Stevie Gaol
  20. While I agree about Adriano's attitude, I think he would perfect for this team. He is like Crouch with all the goods added to it, strong, quick feet, good in the air, and pretty fast for his size surely he's faster than Crouch? The only thing is sometimes he looks a little one-footed to me, but such is the case for most left footed players it seems. Look at the upside though, Speedy and Pennant crossing to someone who actually wants to shoot the ball and can hit a header with some power on it, thats one of my problems with Crouch is sometimes he looks as though he doesnt know what to do with the ball when its at his feet in the 6 yd box, and his "great heading" is more like a bunch of little flicks that rarely have enough power to beat the keeper. Adriano might be a little more selfish but in a team of pretty much team players one selfish foward can't be too bad in the right situation can it? Of course he'd most likely be way too expensive, and you're probably right about him not being Rafa's type of player, however if anyone can turn his attitude around it would be Rafa wouldn't it? I say put in a bid for him, and see what Inter does with it. Besides he's my leading scorer on WE 9
  21. Djibs you get well soon, you will definitely be in prayers for months to come. I look forward to seeing you bangin them in for us next season and showing Rafa that this was really a blessing in disguise.
  22. Yes the wall was poor, especially with that t*** lampard shying away from it, but still Keeper had no chance, and he put it through them. What more could you ask for? It isn't as if he's Roberto Carlos or anything who could curl it round the whole stadium and put it in the net.
  23. I agree with most in that a faster, poacher type striker a la Owen would have been on the end of one of Kewells low crosses, personally if he wasn't cup tied im sure Fowler would have started, and he would have put one of those away. Cisse also would of gotten to one of them, personally I just don't rate Crouch, we need a big, strong, fast, athletic target man like Adriano from Inter, however I don't think we afford him, and besides Real want him now anyway and we definitely can't win a bidding war with them, at least I wouldn't think we could.
  24. Reina 7 - Did well until the goal, personally i think he should have kept his line, but Riise did hang him to dry out there. Finnan 7 - not a bad performance did nothing wrong, but didn't hear his name much to be honest. Carra 7 - solid performance but definitely nothing special by his standards Hyypia 6 - Played well but he's aging and it's starting to show granted it is the end of a long season. Riise 8 - Brilliant on the free kick, one of the best i've seen in a while, only bad thing was the header that set up drogba's goal. Alonso 7 - Did enough but again nothing special tonight. Momo 7.5 - Went hard for the full 90, some nice hard tackles, great presence out there today Kewell 9 - MoM in my opinion, Did everything he had to but score. Gerrard 6 - At times found myself wondering if he might have had mind on the World Cup as he didn't seem to go in hard as much. Crouch 5 - Personally I don't rate him anyway, but today i thought he should have had a couple of those chances, especially on the collison, that should have been a goal. Garcia 7.5- Goal was fantastic, but other than that, the same little luis coughing up possesion1 Subs Cisse 6 - Didn't do much, but had nothing to do, got no service once he came on and really did ok with what he had. Traore 6 - Scared me to death when he was brought on, and I do rate him, but for the life of i couldn't help thinkin he might have a c**k up Mori 6.5 - Ran around a menaced their defence when they had the ball back there. He never looked like scoring but neither did any of our forwards today. Overall- We played out of our skin in the first half, but wet the bed after the goal in the second, I honestly thought they were gonna get a late goal from that last corner, thankfully I was wrong I had a the same feeling as I got before rio's goal in the United match. But hey we won, time to celebrate. Now bring on West Ham (hopefully) Oh and one more bit, I don't get the hostility towards Cisse, what was he supposed to do when we couldn't keep the ball for more than 5 seconds in the last 15. It rarely got passed midfield let alone up to him or Moro...
