Agree. No such thing as a guaranteed player... there's just too many factors that can affect how a transfer turns out. Angel Di Maria - he was possibly seen as a guarantee. At £60million he should be anyway. Same for Pogba... and he was a world record signing. Do people look at managers in the same light? Do some managers have a certainty for success over others?
