  1. Yeah I said this to a few Newcastle fans in the football thread of a non-football forum and it was met with blank stares. It was like they hadn't even contemplated that or knew how to compute the concept. I also pointed out that every new signing and every renewal will have agents being determined to put release clauses in and low ones at that. They've massively damaged their prospects of squad improvement for the foreseeable future. They replied along the lines of "well we can't let him go without replacements.". Proper Catch 22 madness.
  2. A bit over-eager and a bit disappointing but that's sorta okay. He's young and will improve. Our defending in general looks (both last night and in pre-season) a bit haphazard at the moment. I'm hoping having Grav back next match will help.
  3. Yeah, I think they'll have to sign at least one. Somebody. Anybody.
  4. That got loads worse after Jones and Ekiitike went off and Palace pressed higher. We went from having loads of room in our half to breathe to having barely any and that's where their equaliser came from. Pretty unfortunate really cos I think If we have ridden it out for another 5 mins they'd had run out of puff too.
  5. Time well spent. yeah, once a mistake, twice a choice and a s*** one.
  6. Yeah he was a bit, but he's playing with a new full back, a new midfielder and a new forward in front of him. He's allowed to make runs and do stuff that he does even that doesn't fit with them They need to integrate with him as much as he does with them. I thought we looked loads worse when he went off.
  7. Yeah I'm looking forward to a midfield of Mac Alister, Szoboszlai and Wirtz. Maybe even Gravenberch and Van Dyke at CB. Then we'll be cooking.
  8. yeah, it makes no sense. Even with the £70m odd whatever loan account they may or may not have. Man U do not want to sail close to a points deduction over Sesko or put themselves in a position where they're selling their already knock-down rejects for even less.

  10. £120m seems like a good offer for Isak.
  11. They wang on abut all sorts. Fog, gods and little fishies, crocodile shoes. It's numberwang up there.
  12. Newcastle being linked with Rodrigo Muniz of Fulham. He'll do. Him and Wissa.
  13. The mancs aren't paying £80m for Sesko.
  14. It's the sort of thing insurance is for. Cast your mind back to the Sala crash, there was a lot of unsavoury hand-wringing over which club was to claim his asset value and the selling club (I can't remember who that was) threatening to sue over the unpaid transfer fee.
  15. Yeah, there will be two insurance payouts (from what I've read) One to pay out the remainder of his contract that the club have already said they will pay to his family. And another that will be his asset value that the club have insured him for.
  16. yeah, Jota, Nunez and Diaz could probably be replaced with two forwards who can play left and/or centrally. So long as both stay fit.
  17. I think Ekitike is just up for a move to the Premier League so He'd sign for Newcastle if we're not in for him. Also Newcastle are/were happy to have them both for a season at least.
  18. That's a right raft of tw%ts.
  19. Wirtz cut is the deepest, baby I know.
  20. Whatsamata you? Hey! Gotta no respect, it's a not so bad, it's a nice a place, Ah Florian Wirtz.
