Aquilani is not just a great player but he shows a great caracter too. He know he is not wanted by the club but he still comes on and has the right attitude. Plays well, runs all the time, is positive in his play. I like him alot.

For me this is a good thing - this will force FSG in the rensfer market. We will keep Torres till the summer and with good signings in this window he will see improvement and want to stay!

Loaning Aquilani out has to have some logical explanation. This is my theory: When we bought him from Roma there was a clause that said we could not sell him back to Italy until 2011, or paying Roma some extra payment if we did so. Therefore we loan him and have already decided on selling him next year. Probably we have agreed on the fee.

What we have seen so far is that Hodgson will play similar system as Rafa did, 4-2-3-1 and I think Ozil would fit very well into that playing behind the striker - on the left. I think that is an improvement on Jovanovic / Pacheco.

I would love us to get Ozil, he would improve our 1st team from day one. To get this player in the last year of his contract would be great (Owen anyone!) eOn the Masch/Gerrard issue I'm with Elisha on that one. I think that Masch is the best def-midfielder in the world and would love to see him stay but hs has been trying to force his way out for some time and is not loyal to this club. Gerrard was always loyal to our club imo. The fact that he almost left was up to sloppy management. I mean what would it take for the captain of the club to leave after winning the CL?

Why would the current owners pay 3-6 millions for terminating Rafa's contract? They are selling the club and don't care so why getting rid of Rafa? I think that new owners are in place and they made the decision on getting in a new manager. It would though be better for them to have Rafa out before they take over.
