  2. What the f*** does it matter what he gets paid? Crouch was either physically ready to play, or not. He has had a shorter pre-season than most and may have a slight knock. The only person in a position to judge was Benitez. He chose not to play him. The team on the pitch was good enough to win, unfortunately they did not perform until they conceded a goal. There were other mitigating circumstances, which disrupted Benitez's plans. Its not that difficult to see that two experienced defenders being injured in the first half, had a severe impact on any planned changes. Tomorrow's game is far more important, in the short term, than the result on Saturday. Financially, we are not in a position to lose out on Champions League football.
  3. 1) Will we qualify for the European Cup? Yes. An efficient performance will see us through 2) Will we win the European Cup? No. But we will get through to the QF minimum 3) Will we win the League Cup? No. I don't Rafa will take it as seriously as some other teams, but we might get a favourable draw. 4) Will we win the FA Cup? No. 5) Will we win the League? Yes.
  4. I'm don't have any concerns about the personnel or manager, but I do have concerns about our tough league programme until November. I think this period is crucial and will define our season, in terms of our challenge for the league. We have a number of players who have returned to pre-season late, as well as a whole host of new signings to assimilate into the 'liverpool way'. Normally this takes time, although this may not be so important depending on our rivals results throughout this period.
  5. Not yet, but its being reported in the press as a possibility
  6. Forgot about Cisse coming in then. Fair enough
  7. Tickets are now on General Sale. Confirmed on Offal.

  9. Agree that they have a decent squad, but Zokora has replaced Carrick and Berbatov has replaced Mido. There may be an improvement in the quality of personnel, but not in size, and they are flimsy at full back. I think Spurs will be happy with 5th and a decent run in the UEFA. I also think that Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal and Man Utd are ahead of them in terms of quality and experience. As was shown last season.
  10. I'm also slightly surprised so many are placing Spurs in the Top 4. They will have a trickier campaign now that they will be playing Thurs and Sundays, due to the UEFA Cup. Whereas last season, they were out of all competitions in the first round and could just focus on the league
