An Investment Bank (top tier, I may add) that I previously worked for made the decision that they would not get involved in the acquisitions/disposals of football clubs because of the risk that fans may oppose deals and this would have an adverse reputational impact on the Bank. This decision was made even though the Bank could have made millions of pounds in profits in relatively simple deals. -

Yep, when Bellamy and Riise scored against Barca, I was jumping around and shouting on my own and their fans congratulated me and at the end shook my hand and said we served the victory. Very classy. No way I would have got away with that away in the PL.
