This story is gathering speed in Swedish press. Their sources claim we have had a first bid worth £5m rejected, and that we have now come back and doubled it. Can't see where we've suddenly found £10m however, unless something is going on with Masch?

Johnson has been given the no. 2 shirt. Surely that means that Dossena is on his way out?

Lyon confirm that a deal has been made: Sky

Gai Assulin just turned 18, seems a bit harsh to write him off already.

"Macherano has not been a regular starter for Liverpool this season, manager Rafa Benitez preferring a central midfield partnership of Steven Gerrard and Xabi Alonso. The Argentinian has been frustrated by his lack of playing time which Lazio hope to capitalise on." Haha.

I think it's the Manchester from Birmingham actually.

The Coventry and Spurs ones are alright, even though they're far from pretty. The other two are terrible shirts, but it's not really because of the colours. I'm sorry but I just find the grey/silver colour appalling, especially when combined with red on a shirt. Why couldn't they just stick to either the white or the black kit from last year? Both of them were great.

Horrible. The worst color ever to be seen on a football shirt.

He's class, but he's also a prick. Wouldn't mind signing him at all though.

Chelseas group is probably harder but I'd much rather have our group than uniteds.

Sami should be fit for tuesday.

Probably the best I've seen since Wynalda in the '94 WC. That was pure perfection.

Derby, Fulham and Wigan.

Liked the look of him yesterday, he looked more mature and "ready" than I thought he'd be. If he keeps it up he will get a few games this season for sure.

To still be in contention come March at least, and to be more positive away from home.

Finally some sense in this thread. Momos destructive game is fantastic, but he seriously limits our attacking play. In at least 30 of 38 league games he would do more harm than good to be fair.

If he's half as good as followers of brazilian football claim he is - he will be.

Agree with you both 100%. The first feeling was emptiness, followed by a pride that can't be taken away from me. There's absolutely no reason to be bitter or angry.
