  1. What's not to love about being managed by doc ock!
  2. Arne are you OK Are you OK, are you OK Arne..
  3. Well that's Calvin Ramsey finished then
  4. What the h..... You do the rest
  5. Acknowledging the general fear of 'give it to Gerrard' I'd 200% settle on bringing back klopp for 3 years, appointing Stevie as assistant manager alongside a high quality coaching staff. Stevie would not be in the linders role. It would be to share the management load with klopp, and watch and learn how to manage the club, staff, set values etc.. I don't think Jurgen would come back to be the manager on a long term basis (3+ years) but he could be persuaded if there is a genuine succession plan and a sharing of the management load.
  6. They're either very shrewd or very stupid and the problem is that during their time here they've shown themselves capable of both. I'm inclined to agree with you. Salah's latest post can be read as made in desparation as he believes they are planning to stick with Slot.
  7. They won't finish 4th if they lose to city on the last day and we win... ... Actually, they are guaranteed 4th then
  8. Arne's shot... Na Na Na whatever..
  9. We look like a gang of lads who really hate each other
  10. I thought you meant that we actually couldn't finish 6th
  11. That's Joyce, Pearce, King, Steele all putting out articles and opinion pieces against Slot. I'm thinking they know he's finished so are less bothered about burning bridges with the manager / boss.
  12. In the last 10 mins we had 2 - 3 chances to break quickly when Marmadashvilli had the ball and we literally walked and strolled out. Zero intensity. Zero drive or belief to go get the 3 pts. It's been mentally stripped away from us. It was awful to watch
  13. I agree about Henderson. Remember writing on here at the time that he was not the problem. But he did get pelters. You may be right on Kerkez. I just think it's too soon in this season in particular to form a long term view and hope that in a better team the lad will be good. He's had no help down the left at all this season and I put far more blame on Macca and Gakpo for that. Kenny also signed Stewart downing in that window, and in the past signed jimmy carr (not that one)..
  14. You see I think he probably is fine and not really the problem. He's still a very young player and has come into a team that looks poorly coached, has no tactical identity, is regularly out run, out worked, out pressed by the opposition, and plays on the side of the pitch next to MacAllister whose legs have fallen off and behind Gakpo who has had no clue all season how to play a simple easy ball to an overlapping full back. It would actually be something of a miracle if at the age of 21 he could, from left back, look good given all of the above. If that is fixed and he proves to not be good enough, fine. But think it's exceptionally hard to judge him this season. Remember Hendo getting pelters at a very young age for not being worth the money we paid. Turns out that in a good team under a good manager the quality was there all along. At the moment I'm erring on the side of this being the journey for Kerkez.
  15. This reads like a mixture of informed insight and personal opinion, so gonna file this under 'informed opinion' and take it at face value as being a fair representation of current reality.. Which is disappointing but not surprising
  16. Think I asked in here before but truly keen to know... Notwithstanding that this forum is a powerhouse of opinion and influence and represents the local and global fan base... Those of you in the city.. Being as impartial as you can.. What's the general view of slot and what should happen
  17. It was the rewriting of the psg narrative from last season as supposedly an enthralling encounter of pure football between two equal and opposite forces, contrasted consistently and derisorily with the putrid low block fare we were forced to condescend to in the Premier league... And then we became just that when faced with the reality of PSG again this season
  18. Not one senior player has come out and even hinted at any praise or support or even 'collective responsibility' with Slot, ie. "We're all working hard, manager and players to put this right together" It's either silence or as per MacAllister earlier in the season with'things have changed too much' (including him) to Mo on how the culture is in danger of slipping away to Virgil saying things aren't right behind the scenes... To Robbo wanting a move rather than being the managers top man in the dressing room They know. The difficulty is that those who make the big decisions left when they were no longer making big decisions cos the true leader of the club, Jurgen, was in control. So, what do they know...
  19. We've played 54 games and lost 1 in 3 (18 defeats) We've scored 97 We've conceded 72 Great stuff eh
  20. Don't think I've ever seen someone's legs fall off as much as MacAllisters since Henchoz
