  1. In my opinion, Rafa wasnt getting the best out of the team and I dont think he could turn it around. If you remember what he said when he left Valencia after 3 years there, he commented that he didn't think he could get anymore out of the team and it was time to move on.....His lack of people skills give him a limited shelf life at any one club. I am excited rather than depressed, granted there aren't loads of stand out candidates but I honestly think we would have been even worse this season had Rafa stayed.
  2. Me personally? I dont want to go into it. But just look at some of the blatant things, performances, confidence, even the backroom staff - Dreadful!
  3. f*** off mate, some fans wanted him gone, I was one, doesn't make them wishy washy. Some self-righteous c**** about lately.
  4. So Parry was entitled to a £4 million payoff too cos he was an employee of the club? Would you really rather pay Rafa £16 mil than £3 mil 'because he is an employee' ??? f*** that, lets try and start salvaging something of the club, if Rafa has to be the first to go then so be it.
  5. Are you serious with that?
  6. Thats not his house. Hopefully Lucas and Insua share it!
  7. Good for you.
  8. I am amazed the thread was started to be honest. Cant his abilities as a player and captain (zzzzzzzz) be discussed in one of the other million threads about him?
  9. Cant believe this load of s*** is getting debated on here!!!!! Bad enough listening to d****eads in the pub coming out with 'There's no smoke without fire' b******s without a forum for supposedly clued up Liverpool fans to go on about it. f***ing piss poor this.

  11. The team are going tomorrow on the EuroStar. I think its on.
  12. See who Spains reserve keeper is? Ochotorena who used to be our goalie coach.
  13. Apparently he isn't the most popular over there, speaks French and hasn't tried to learn the language.
  14. The Yanks have no bearing on day to day life for the players, no input in training and are invisible to them on match days.
  15. I didn't mean to direct that to you as an argument, just that your post was most related to what I wanted to say. I would say the proof of the decline is there for all to see, our morale is shot to bits. I haven't seen any enjoyment this season, either in players or fans.
  16. Sammy is a nice enough fella, but not a top coach and definitely a bit of a 'yes man' - Rafa is almost like a dictator at the moment. Some of the people at the club just shouldn't be there. What has Owen Brown done to deserve working at LFC. When all these tournaments are on around the world, African Nations, Cope Libertadores etc... Do we have representatives there? Most of the time, no! Losing Pako was a huge blow to the whole club, the players and staff all liked and respected him and he was the best fitness coach we could have had. Rafa's success was a shared thing with his trusted allies, he has gone on without them and is struggling like f***.
  17. Maybe not steady, but a decline all the same. Even our CL form since Pako went - SF, QF, Group stage. Is that a steady decline? Since he went a lot of things have started going wrong, yes we finished second last season, I am not saying Rafa is s****, but a lot of his success was down to him and Pako. Sammy Lee is and was at the time, a piss poor appointment.
  18. Why? What did we win? Nothing since 2006 as far as I remember. What I am saying is that since Pako went things have definitely started to detoriorate, and if one season of finishing runners up in a barren 5 years is 'the wheels staying on' then we have really gone as a club.
  19. See the loss of Pako Ayesteran for where the wheels started to come off.
  20. Off the top of your head, how many goals do you reckon Torres scored in World Cup qualifying?
  21. He has a knock on his knee, if the specialist says he needs an op to be fit for the World Cup he will miss the rest of our season. Alternatively he could play the rest of our season, then have the op and miss the World Cup. Wonder what will happen?
  22. I have told everyone to get on this, some of it is pure genius.
  23. Sorry, I know you didn't agree. I was more just annoyed with Neal and Whelan who said it.
  24. I have spoken to plenty of ex-Liverpool players who revere The King the way us fans do. Everyone knows Souness was fantastic but Kenny was a footballing God. We were lucky to have both (and Hansen) at the same time but anyone who says Souness was the better player, ex-pro's or not, is talking absolute s****. Ex-pro's tend to talk b******s anyway, just search on youtube for Eamonn Dunphy's 'Alonso, Alonso, he's a myth!' load of b******s.
