  1. 'Cause he thought he was the man. He thought wrong.
  2. It's just like getting married.
  3. Offalinkus Steven Gerrard believes Rafael Benitez is the man to turn his dream of lifting the Premiership trophy as Liverpool skipper into reality. The Reds' captain is only missing the league title from his medal collection and he insists that if Liverpool can finish top of the pile and bring number 19 home then it will be 'ten times better than winning the European Cup'. Liverpool have a lot of work to do if the dream is to be realised this year, but Gerrard is confident that with Benitez at the helm there's no-one better to ensure the long wait for a championship party will end sooner rather than later. "In Rafa, we've got one of the best managers in the world and if he keeps improving the squad, we keep learning off him and the take-over happens, we've got a really good chance of winning the Premiership, which is the dream of every fan," he said. "He's a 24/7 manager and everything that comes out of his mouth is all related to football. He's obsessed with the game and that's why he's such a great coach. "Rafa's always striving for perfection and sometimes I'll pop back to the training ground for something and he'll still be there at 7 o'clock. "Then when you speak to him the next day, he'll say he watched the match three times last night. "He's helped make me a better player, he's making Liverpool a better team and ultimately, making us a title winning team." And if Gerrard is proven correct and Rafa does lead Liverpool to title glory, the skipper can already picture in his mind what it'll be like. "I can imagine it all," he added. "I can picture Anfield now and I can imagine the feeling I would get if I got to lift the Premier League trophy there because this is the one the fans want. "And I can imagine the parade through Liverpool and everyone going absolutely wild. I dream of lifting that Premier League trophy and I dream of seeing the expressions on the fans' faces. "It could be 10 times better than when we won the European Cup because of what it would mean to the fans. "It's the only one left and it's going to be the hardest one to get. The European Cup was an unbelievable achievement and everyone knows how difficult it is to win with the standard of the teams competing. "To be the best team in your country over 38 games is a really tough challenge. But I'm determined to give everything I've got to help Liverpool achieve it. It's the one trophy I'm missing and the one I'm desperate to get hold of. "It's been too long. As a Liverpool fan and a Liverpool player, it's been too long. The cup wins we have had over the last seven years have been fantastic experiences, but the league is the one we all want. "It has been frustrating looking at the table and the end of each season and seeing that you're 15 points or 30 points behind. You feel that you've failed, even though the teams above you have been better. "The gap has been embarrassing from a Liverpool point of view, but we feel we are slowly changing things."

  9. It's his way of inspiring us to come up with a song for him.
  10. He might be the best striker in the league this season, but he's no match for our Carra-Agger.
  11. Any links to better quality, downloadable ones will be much appreciated.

  15. His tone suggests a certain reverential deference to his Dutch fellow striker. A mark of respect and maybe tinged with a hue of fear. Beneath his affable and easygoing, team respecting demeanour during interviews and on the pitch, this could only suggest that Kuyt has taken over the dressing room and has willed Rafa to bend to his demands. This more than suggests that Hiddink is taking over from Rafa in the summer and his first signing will be Patrick Kluivert.
  16. It will be a very tight affair with us having the lion's share of possession and bombing them with shots from every conceivable angle, but the match will end level either at 0-0 or 1-1, not thanks to their dogged efforts at throwing bodies in the way, and of course, a certain Petr Cech. Should we take our eye off the ball for a moment, they will nick it at the very end.
  17. What about Robbie?
  18. But he's English, with an English mentality, and probably eats an English breakfast!
  19. Heskey could at least help chip in.

  23. Dolce Gabbana. Sad.
  24. Liverpool or Reading, I could make that decision and get it right everytime whilst in a hypoglycemic coma. EDIT: That should have read, " Liverpool or the rest of the world.."
