    Could have eased a lot of pressure in that transfer window but instead it was left the 11th hour for a former Slot favourite loanee who can’t get a game at Sunderland.

    Had similar thought about the pen, if their lad gets there first and smashes the ball past Ali and it just misses the post or bar does that pen still get given?

    Didn’t mean you specifically NR pal, just tired of this over and over again. They had three at the back tonight that have barely played together, a keeper who’s strongest asset definitely isn’t his passing out and we still didn’t think to press, take players on and be aggressive high up the pitch. It’s so poor time and again.

    Tired of blaming the ref for our failures tbh, there was sod all in the free-kick we scored from. Our response was pathetic.

    I f***ing hate this season. Playing like they care for 20 mins before we revert to type. A midfield that can’t play as a three, our best player stuck at RB, players who s*** the bed instead of shooting and 135m worth of attacking talent who hits the ball like a f***ing eight year old.

    I still love that game, after so many years of rarely showing up at that ground to finally go there and absolutely batter them was an insane feeling.

    I think we’ve a lot of players like that. Would love to see Curtis crunch some f***er trying to hit us on the break, there you go and a sharp elbow across your chest for good measure.

    Didn’t run for him many times tonight, but late on there was a point after the handbags with Burn when he got the ball again in the corner and instead of passing back he went and attacked his man and almost made a good chance for us again, the Gapko of the last two months would have s*** the bed. Showed some fight tonight.

    Very pleasing result, some players really looking like they’ve turned a corner and got the fight back in them. Gakpo grew into the game after a slow first 30 or so, Kerkez like a maniac with his energy and Konate as good a game as I can recall from him.

    Just a poor second touch and second guessed himself in the end. Needs a good start this half though.
