To be fair I guess you have to live this to know what you would do. A player of Trent's stature has been financially sorted after two years on his first senior contract. It isn't that he needs money but that he is a Scouse kid made good puts extra pressure on him at his home club . I often wonder whether Gerrard regrets staying. not when in his case he could have won so much more, just the experience of testing yourself at the biggest club n the world and seeing where it led to. I get it with Trent, I won't slaughter him, I despise Owen because he was a mercenary patronising little c*** who thought he was too good for Liverpool and wanted to go somewhere he could 'win trophies', (lest we forget this was the summer of 2004 ) but Trent has been with us for 20 years and whilst I would be desperately sad to lose him I wouldn't boo him if he came back. he's been very respectful so far and if it pans out that way we move on and just win everything.

Me too. Just spoke with a Spurs fan, he loves him but acknowledges there are big questions to answer. He had them playing well last year but clearly there are problems with his approach. My mate is dying to give him more time but yesterday hit them all pretty hard.
