  1. You just answered my point too.
  2. I got fcked off on here for admitting he looked like a real talent, I'd love to nick him, he's not been there long enough to piss me off yet.
  3. To be honest Ant, I don't think he's worth £100m. As unique as he is he's a full back not a striker, also he's not THAT good either. I'm not being disrespectful because I really rate him but he's not the greatest defender for a start despite his obvious and unique attributes. He isn't a 'spine' player either he's periphery, he can never have the impact defensively a goalkeeper or centre back can have on a team. If you build in what his wages will be it's more likely you'd go for a top striker of midfield genius. He's a little bit of a luxury if money has limits (which remains to be seen). THAT is the right money, and they'd pay it. He's a world cup winning midfield dynamo, he's better than both Enzo and Calceido
  4. Who is? Maybe for a prime Roberto Carlos but the bottom line is Trent would enhance their team, they wouldn't necessarily have to pay £100m for him, he's a full back after all.
  5. I'm not sure that's true at all.
  6. He has already gone, he signed for Sc***horpe just after the second post, scored on is debut.

  8. Did Gerrard ever play against them? * The answer is once.
  9. Second hand Rose, Evergreen, The way we were, loads...
  10. Sigh, if only they were proper Wolves.
  11. Our miles better goal difference could be decimated if this carries on. Arsenal 2-0 and 10 men Ipswich look ready to fold
  12. Broaden your knowledge Bailo, some people are timelessly funny and Hilda is a prime example.
  13. 'cos it's a shell suit?
  14. like being told by Hilda Ogden that your singing has improved.
  15. Woke up, got out a bed, dragged a comb across my head (half a second). On the PC, to the forum I went, opened up the page, what's happening with Trent? Loads more pages added overnight, was he staying after all, maybe Swipe was right? Excitement rising through the pages I hurtled. Only to find it was all about turtles. Why don't you lot f*Ck the f*ck off!!
  16. Phew, breath easy lads. Spurs is my last home game before going on holiday, if they fck this up...... They won't, up the marvellous lads in red, love them all, I fully intend to get bollixed obviously, not bothered where, Molby is in charge for this one.
  17. Sneaky one that Leo, like one of those Facebook Quizzes 'only a genius will get this'.
  18. Oh FFS I thought we'd agreed we'd finnish with these in deference to the miserable bartsrads on here who get angry over fish puns, there's a grouper them, they'll be moaning like feck.

  20. This is too clever for me Sammy. I defer to your life experience and I'm not challenging this view at large, but football isn't exactly a reflection of life. Hatred for Trent will be, in my opinion, highly toxic largely because he's spurned us, the people who have 'made him what he is', Trent is revered for his football skills and being a Scouser is something we sing about with great pride. He hasn't acted like a Scouser is expected to his own, and I think that is the main source of the disgust. There are loads of non white Scouse idols, it's a truly cosmopolitan city with hundreds of years of immigration. That doesn't mean there's no racism, there is and always will be but I don't think this has caused much of an impact in this context.

  23. It's really odd how they've gone from being 'if it isn't us then I hope they win it rather than etc.' to being a bunch of really irritating tosspots. I put it down to Arteta in the main plus their podcast which sets the tone for the moronic fans. My bessie Arsenal friend sent me a text on Sunday 'won't be long now mate', she and I went to Highbury loads when we were teenagers and her family were diehard Gooners, I was made welcome by them all I even went to their Supporters Club dinner in Charing Cross Road at which I told Geordie Armstrong he was nowhere as good as Steve Heighway He agreed Heighway was quicker but thought he was a better footballer, fair play to him for even bothering to answer me. It wouldn't kill me if they won it to be honest, I have no other skin in the fight.
