Longest queue I remember was last game of the season in 82 v Spurs, avoid defeat & the title was ours (again) - it had been one hell of a season - Shanks had died in the October, corrigan got bottled from the Kop on Boxing Day & I think I'm right when saying it was the season that we where 1000 points behind Arsenal at Christmas (well 19!) Queued up the length of Kemlyn Road having arrived at about 12ish - was one of the last in the ground at about 1:30. got stood on by a horse getting us into queues as I had nowhere to move to out of it's way. Good game - Hoggle scored one hell of a freekick at the Kop end & we then went on to win the game & get given the trophy (again)
woups - sorry miss-read your original - back of the lower - not upper Yerp - these can be fairly poor when people stand up - fortunately a very nice man gets on the tannoy & asks people to sit down - so problem solved
is the right answer sometimes it's hard to explain to my daughter (who is 9) just what great players I have seen - Keegan, highway, Kennedy ®, souness, molby, beardsley, rush, barnes, hansen.............Kenny the list is endless.
