  1. I think if we get top 4 then he gets another season
  2. You really wanted Ramsay thrown on at that point?
  3. So now you want to add context and explainers rather than leaving it at a pithy one liner? You're saying my Klopp argument is disingenuous? FFS It's YOUR argument just turned around against you to illustrate how bad it is
  4. Sorry, those points were in addition to what you'd already said. They were forced into making more chances than ideal and then also had those problems
  5. Hodgson never lost 6 in 8. Jurgen can't say that
  6. Isak dragged on all summer so he came in undercooked, right backs have had injury problems and Leoni does his knee in his first game while looking good. The squad is not well balanced and centre back has been neglected for too long (case in point is Joe Gomez is still with us - like the guy, good player when fit, but physically he can't be relied upon and we've known this since well before Slot joined)
  7. When I saw Bradley and Frimpong both starting I knew that, with their recent injury record, it was likely neither would last the 90 (Bradley's case it was as much the chance of a booking ) so there would be a few changes at right back
  8. Not helped by constant injuries to the two right backs necessitating square pegs in round holes Gakpo missing big chances in quite a few games and becoming quite one dimensional MacAllister's drop off meaning midfield isn't as solid as last season
  9. Ah of course, if you're not insulting Slot by saying he's completely clueless or comparing him to Roy f***ing Hodgson then you must be happy with how the season is going What great logic that is
  10. The pressure has certainly scrambled the brains of a few in this thread
  11. Because someone above claimed he had said it and I wondered - like others might wonder. Why are you on here? Why are you bothering posting? Why do you seemingly respond to post without reading what's written? (All rhetorical, no need to answer)
  12. This is basic reading and comprehension. Primary school children manage it. I made no comment about Carragher's ability. I said that there doesn't seem to be any evidence to support Franco Baresi saying Carragher was the best defender in Europe. No more, no less.
  13. "AI Overview No, there's no record of Franco Baresi calling Jamie Carragher the best centre-back in Europe; however, Jamie Carragher has often praised Baresi as one of his favourite defenders ever, and they've shared mutual admiration, with Baresi even expressing fondness for Carragher as a "favourite defender" in a video, but not the "best in Europe" title." Computer says no
  14. He thought he was offside and knew Diaz was 100% onside
  15. No mention of the possible red card. This is why things have got so bad. TV over the years have just glossed over the bad decisions but more live games and post-match analysis are highlighting them
  16. It's the fact that the video tech guy seems the calmest and most knowledgeable person there compared to the two professional referees
  17. Have to remember that 9 of Villa's starting 11 also played Thursday night so their legs were always going to go in the last 20 mins
  18. Hamilton's an arsenal fan so zero points for the joke and zero points for accuracy. Unlucky!
  19. "It's not even remotely a sport". Sport - a competitive physical activity. F1 is clearly a competition, both between the teams for the constructors title and individually between the drivers for the drivers title. Physical activity - driver's have to be incredibly fit to handle the g-forces during acceleration, braking, and cornering, incredibly fit to continue driving to a high level in sweltering heat where they're losing kilos of bodyweight over a couple of hours of racing, the reflexes to catch a slide and minimise time lost. So when you say it's not even remotely a sport, you're just making a fool of yourself. It doesn't have to be something you're interested in, there's plenty of sports out there I have no time for (a lot of them Olympic events), but I'm not idiotic enough to claim they aren't actually sports. "How is driving a fast (the fastest) car in a field of 20 competitors in the entire world and emerging on top make you a top sportsman?" It's driving a car faster than the other hugely talented competitors (distilled down to a group of 20) and consistently emerging on top in the pinnacle of motorsport. That's what makes you a top sportsman
  20. According to hmrc he's in the top 5000 tax payers in the UK and I'm sure the response to that will be that he should still be paying more. Mansell iirc, Button, and a lot of other F1 drivers were also tax exiles but it was never thrown in their face. Then again, they're white
  21. Except it is, and saying it isn't just makes people look thick Apart from it actually is Sky Sports. If that's the criteria LFC play some games on BT which is closer to CNN than F1 - can I vote for Anderson Cooper?
  22. Jesus Christ some of the posts because Jordan didn't win - and we call Everton fans bitter. Some crap about how motorsport is not a sport, or about residency, or how much tax is paid - nonsense, brexiteer nonsense, and tory brexiteer nonsense Jordan would've been a fully deserving winner of SPOTY for what he has done for the club and during the pandemic. Great player, great captain, and seemingly fantastic all round guy Hamilton this year basically became the most successful F1 driver in history and is widely recognised as one of if not the best ever. For a guy of mixed heritage who didnt grow up rich to get into F1 was an achievement but to go on and do what he has done, with or without the best car, is a massive achievement. Plus he's pushed heavily for increased diversity within his sport and further down the chain
  23. Linesman do your f***ing job. Clear offside
  24. Watched the 3rd again and Mignolet is diving full length before Ozil has even taken his shot. The man has got to be replaced
  25. That is massively massively unfair. Henman was never the most talented but through his own hard work and determination made himself a top 4 player and almost reached the Wimbledon finals
