  1. Yeah, he's a right tosser innhe?
  2. I'd agree that he's part of the problem they're not giving 9/10 performances, but aside from that they're struggling with everything. Coutinho just can't pass the ball right now, Markovic has been insanely poor, and Sterling had an off night.
  3. It surprises me that people are already writing him off when the 3 behind him have been constantly s*** in each match too, Spurs aside. Once we're firing as a team is probably the best time to judge him.
  4. Honestly? Terrible shout. Sometimes it's OK for a keeper to expect his defenders to clear any loose balls, he did well to get his hand down to it.
  5. Get outta here, Manquillo has been one of our better players.
  6. Mignolet's crouching thing has a purpose - remember reading an interview with him when he was with Sunderland. He said most strikers shoot low, because they know keepers are slower going down for a shot that coming up for a shot - so he crouches to keep his body/hands lower to the ground so he can get to those shots quicker than most keepers.

  8. You worry about everything. Exactly it, in a nutshell. Deserved the win. If Jagielka hit that another 100 times he wouldn't put it in the top corner again.
  9. This new obsession for the official and the Echo of broadcasting everything that Mario does is annoying.

  13. But I don't think it's the lack of movement in the final third, I think it's because last year we were playing with 2 strikers, this year we've been mainly playing with 1. Once Balotelli and Sturridge have been on the same pitch at the same time for a handful of games, I think we'll start to see the dynamism and creativity we had last year.
  14. I won't if you won't.
  15. Especially considering all the players hate him.
  16. Nowhere near was it played in our own half for the most part. Never got it into their box enough though. Mignolet was good, Lallana good overall though looked tired for the last 20. Enrique and Lucas make me want to kick a cat.
  17. I don't see why comparisons are being made. None of us have any clue what kind of shape he was in when he came back from being away with England.
  18. I said the same a couple of pages ago. His arrival coincided with Reina's deterioration, and although Mignolet isn't as bad as some are making out, he certainly hasn't improved since he joined us.
  19. Isn't this pattern bigger than just Mignolet though? Our goalkeeping coaches haven't improved any keeper since Xavi Valero was here. When he left was when Reina's form started to deteriorate. Mignolet hasn't improved since he joined us, Jones hasn't improved since he joined us. So rather than continuing to cycle through keepers, wouldn't it be better to bring in a top GK coach?
  20. Crikey, you must see all kinds of wacky things then.

  22. Get the f*** outta here with that s***, have some respect.
  23. Surely nobody thought Mario would prove to be a rip-roaring success inside his first 3 matches? We'll know at the end of the season if we've made a mistake or not. Far too early to judge, considering everybody else in the team is off form too.
  24. I agree that he'd be good in that position, but I think we'd miss his aggression and pressing higher up the pitch. A fair few of the goals we scored last season came from Henderson buzzing around someone on the halfway line and forcing them into a mistake.
  25. Totally agree with this. You can see the indecision in his play - the goal last night, Aguero's v City - last year he doesn't come out as far for that, he just covers his angles and relies on his shot-stopping. This year he's trying to be much more aggressive. You can tell a keeper to come out more and sweep up the play, be aggressive with through balls, etc., but it doesn't help their decision making - only time and mistakes will help him with that, unfortunately.
