  1. It's just Jarg's way of directing the blame to the owners.
  2. Well that was terrible. Static, slow first halves are a norm, not sure what the hell we're doing in training and prep prior to a match. No point picking out poor performances, nobody has done well. And what the s*** do we have Lucas taking our corners for? Christ.

  4. I think he'll end up in America too. They'll throw stupid money at him, they think they're getting a foothold here now.

  7. Bojan's effort reminded me of one from Babel years ago against Sunderland I think? It went in, but his body shape looked like he was curling it into the far corner and instead it smashed in near post. Even as it went in I remember a few of us were like "How the feck did he do that?"

  17. Oh give over, I was hardly betting my car on it was I? It's just an opinion, like 99% of the posts on this forum. I'm just fine with people disagreeing, I'm not claiming to be right, just my view from my tiny perspective. Yeah I didn't mean because of his age, just because I think Benitez has probably gained a slightly unfair reputation and might struggle to get involved again with a top, top team. Your 1. and 2. points about Rodgers are spot on.
  18. Haha exactly.
  19. Of course they were motivated, doesn't mean Rodgers isn't better at it though. Rafa prepared his side as well as any manager does, and improved their game and their tactical awareness - we've heard that from his former players fairly often. Rodgers has had players describe him as a motivator, that he made them feel 10 feet tall. Of course Benitez has more experience and has won more trophies, but then he's 13 years older than BR so you would expect that. BR is 41. Benitez was 41 when he joined Valencia, who had just been in 2 Champions League finals in a row. Fair to say Benitez has already peaked, whereas Rodgers still has to kick on and prove that he can become a top-class manager.
  20. Rodgers is the better motivator. Rafa is the better tactician. Totally different management styles.
  21. Terrible. The line "Ironically, Liverpool must beat Basle at Anfield a week on Tuesday to go through to the knockout stage of Europe’s elite competition." was particularly ridiculous.

  23. Coutinho is very much someone who relies on people making runs though, as he showed for most of last year with Suarez and Sturridge. His strength is seeing a run and playing a perfectly weighted pass, but right now we don't have the runners, even Sterling is a bit static. Granted his passing to feet sometimes is shocking, but he's still the only player that gets me out of my seat right now. (Other than Lovren, for different reasons)
  24. This is brilliant.
