  2. I mean you're absolutely right, to be fair - he's Kenny, so it just doesn't matter. I was just replying to that post for conversational purpose, much like if we were standing in a pub... and at the end of the day, if we were standing in a pub, we'd still end with that exact same line - he's Kenny, so it just doesn't matter.
  3. I do, and I don't agree with it. But no big deal though.
  4. Because it's a forum and people have discussions about things?
  5. I said I'll include Suarez. It was hardly a s***ty comment, just replying to someone else. It's OK to love him and think his transfer record wasn't great. Great assessment - neither a good nor terrible record.
  6. Yeah OK include Suarez in that then too, the point still stands. I f***ing love Kenny, but his transfer record wasn't great.
  7. Isn't Henderson the only one of Kenny's buys that still plays regularly for us?

  9. Think he's very similar to Beardsley, other than the goals. This is a very good thing.
  10. Bar one layoff from a throw-in I thought he looked very good. Hungry, moved well, passed well, created a couple of chances. His attitude coming on was what you'd hope it would be too.
  11. But why not? Swansea players and Liverpool players have all commented on how he has the ability to make players feel invincible... surely that approach is more effective at building a team than you're giving him credit for. Now, when the chips are down (now) he's under a new test - lifting the players but at the same time giving them some hard truths. Time will tell if he's successful at it. But I think he's proven to be one of the top 5 man-managers in the league.
  12. A manager that waxes lyrical about all things Liverpool - our past, our present, our fans, our stadium - has me purring. Can't see how it wouldn't have a fan happy. Doesn't mean we can't see and acknowledge his weaknesses/faults.
  13. Well said Cobs. Balotelli may end up not coming good, but (a) he's never been a prolific goalscorer/creator (think he had maybe 2 assists last season?); and (b) the fact that he is working hard to do all the things BR expects of his players - tracking back, closing down, etc - is a good sign, and once he's accustomed to it maybe his normal game will come back.
  14. You say that like it's fact rather than like it's a pile of made-up poo.
  15. Don't think BR makes a point to get them to do that for home matches, think it's mainly aways.
  16. I know mate, I wasn't having a go, I was just saying for myself he's nowhere near ready to be judged. I think you're right about Suso being a good challenger to Coutinho, although I assume BR sees Lallana as a challenger for that spot too? If Suso can make an impact from the bench this season, I think it would be a great stepping stone for him. I guess that's the dilemma though - Markovic will only get better by playing matches, so do you persevere? Especially since so far nobody around him has really hit top gear either.
  17. Suso and Markovic are completely, completely different players though. Markovic is nowhere near ready to be judged - he just moved to a new country, playing in a much more physical league, and is probably being given more direction on defensive tactics and what to do when we don't have the ball than he's ever had in his life.
  18. Yeah I noticed there wasn't the usual pat on the back when he went off, but also kind of liked it, players shouldn't always get a pat on the back/handshake. But the "words" apparently were during the match before he came off. Balo and Sterling had a go at each other a couple of times too. TBH it's good to see though, at least they're all as frustrated as we are, and they know it's not been good enough. Now it's up to the coaching staff to redirect that frustration into something productive/positive.
  19. That makes sense. Don't blame him either, our decision making in the final 1/3 was generally terrible. Lallana made a difference but everyone else was lacking in creativity. Except Suso was injured and is out for a couple of months.
  20. Guardian saying Coutinho "exchanged angry words" with Rodgers during the Basel game... anyone notice anything there?
  21. Give over, managers make signings that don't work out all the time. He hardly shot himself in the foot with the signing.
  22. Exactly, it's nuts that anyone can find a way to give him stick for that goal. He also made an absolutely top save in the first half.
  23. Nah, that's mad. Skimmed off Skrtel's back and then took a deflection of Lovren, he did well to even get a hand to it.
  24. Haha, this is so good that I wouldn't bet against it being a real quote.
