I don't think anyone is writing him off, he's just a very average manager. It wasn't THAT long ago that people were talking about him managing Liverpool one day, which I bloody hope never happens!

Surely you've got to be kidding. We just signed one of the top 5 strikers in the world, and look like we're about to bag a very promising winger and already bagged a very promising midfielder. We also got rid of Cisse and Bellamy, and their wages, for decent money. Why do people get fixated on "net spends"? If at the start of the summer someone would have told me we'd get Torres and Babel and get rid of Cisse, I'd have been quite happy with that.

Disrespectful to Bellamy would have been saying "No, he's not part of my plans, and the sooner I get rid of him the better" Disrespectful to the fans would have been saying "Yes, he's part of my plans, I love him" when we all know better He did the absolute right thing and avoided the question, that's what was so awesome about it.

Not sure if it's been mentioned or not, but Rafa's response when questioned about Bellamy was hilarious: "Are you happy having him here and part of your plans?" "Are you talking about Torres?" *laughter* "No, about Bellamy" "I'm really happy to have Torres here" *more laughter* The man is awesome.
