Good luck JAR and thanks for the goals you scored is the right time to go..

Some of the comments on here have been OTT.

Whose whinging? I certainly wasn't, think you nead to read the whole post, I actually think for once the Mancs have picked up a harder start and slur won't be happy as they are away after each cl group match.
-
I just thought it was ironic after last season that after the first week of competitive internationals we were likely to be the lunchtime game the follwing Saturday. Rafa might have a point if we get a saturday lunchtime kick off following the nexy two sets off internationals, seeing as we play Wigan and Fulham at home neither of which grab you as likely ones for sky to show live.
-
Looks like Rafa will probably have reason to complain again about us always seeming to be the team whose matches are re-arranged to the Saturday lunchtime kick off. We play the mancs the weekend following the first 2 world cup qualifiers, unlikley to be moved to the Sunday as the CL group phases are likely to start the following week.

The boro game is on a Saturday so I doubt it will be.

Great post by Refugee

He has been good but Carra and Agger are better IMO. It is as simple as that.
-
It has to be a case of who partners Carra at CB, which I'm confident will be the case. I should add I hope its Agger, if he is fit as I think we really missed him when he got injured and it had a massive impact on how our season panned out in the league.

Stats don't prove that much, I think it is a good change, primarily because our manger thinks it is, a man far more qualified football wise than anyone on here. The whole xabi and Barry threads have become ridiculous.

My favourite CB pairing would be Carra and Agger, I think the onbly reason Carra was played at right back was due to injuries and I believe Rafa sees Carra and Agger as our first choice CB pairing.

The Impending Summer, George Gillett and Fancard Farce

This thread is getting ridiculous, apart from a few within the club nobody really knows exactly how much we have to spend. From the interview in the Echo it is clear the transfer kitty isn't as big as we would all ideally like, however it is also obvious Rafa is happy enough with the situation and clearly feels he can get the players he wants and needs to move the side forward. Thats good enough for me because as far as I'm concerned his opinion the most important equation in this whole thing. Going back to the original post in this thread, it is clear if SOS are going to issue a statment and take action they have to be careful to pick the correct issue, and by bringing in transfers and the alleged fan card issue have picked the wrong ones. Please stick to the main ones of the funding of the takeover/stadium, the lies and publicly undermining our manager because thats where you will get the backing and support. -
Brilliant planning by the FA and Premier League

No the Dutch have said if Babel has recovered from his injury they want him to go to the Olympics, think Lucas might be going for Brazil as well. -
He was superb last night, really pleased for him.

But the club have bought a number of youngsters in the past 18 months and Rafa may have felt it was time to concentrate on players for the first team. Which is something people have been going urging him to do in the past. The whole Ramsey issue is a red herring, every manager will have a transfer budget and be expected to stick to it, you can't use the transfer spending to beat G+H with, as they have been amongst the bigger spenders since they took over. The amount Rafa has or hasn't got to spend is pure speculation and IMO the transfer budget is not the correct point to raise as proof of why G+H are such poor owners. Concentration should be on the fact they have lied about how the takeover and the staduim would be funded and the way they dragged the clubs name through the mud with the Klinsman affair, slagging employees off in public, sniping against each other via the media, these should be the focus points. Regarding future ownership, I think DIC would certainly be more professional in the way the operate, so we would see less public mud slinging but I still have concerns around how they would fund a takeover/new staduim etc. We have to make sure its not out of the frying pan into the fire kind of situation. -

The Impending Summer, George Gillett and Fancard Farce

Fantastic post, unfortunately a few on here have given it short shrift without having the will or intelligence to understand it. I believe there are some behind SOS who are good people and are trying there best to get G+H out, unfortunately there are some whose only response to questions or opinions raised is to ridicule, insult, accuse of not being a true supporter, pro G+H etc. For this campaign to be successful it needs to be inclusive and not alienate people, to have any impact on the owners it also needs to be able to say it represents a large number of fans, something I don't think SOS can honestly claim at the moment. I've said it before but at the moment I think SOS are driving people away from joining the campaign, purely because of the way any questions/queries are answered. Its obvious 99.9% of the people contributing to this and other similar threads want what's best for the club and just because they question the way SOS are going about achieving this, they certainly shouldn't be ridiculed or have there loyalty to Liverpool FC questioned. To do so takes away from the debate and the only winners from such a divide is G+H.
