They have far too much pace for a CB pairing

Or a case of Carra being a better choice to play RB than Skrtel? It only happened a handful of times, to use it as an argument to show that Skrtel is the prefered CB choice is wrong IMO.

The fact is he wasn't, I've been through the last 21 games of the season and of those Carra played 18, 13 at CB and only 5 at RB, 3 of those were in the CL and the 2 in the league were against Bolton away and the bitters at home. I think the reason he was played at RB wasn't a case of there being a better CB pairing but more probably because Rafa was concerned about the RB position.

I hope Carra and Agger start as our Centre half pairing as they have played well together, I think Sktel is a good player but I'm not prepared to write off Carra as a starting centre half just yet. Moving Carra to right back is playing him out of position and IMO the wrong thing to do.

Great news, if he is, it will be good to see him and Carra back at the heart of our defence.

Obviously you haven't read any of the other transfer threads which have debated this point at extreme length. It isn't a new topic and I would have hoped the mods would have merged into one of the numerous other threads covering this.

I agree I think he would be a good signing for us, he seems to have finally reached the level he was meant to be capable of when he went to Inter, not sure the transfer will happen unfortunately.

Can anyone explain why this thread isn't in the Transfer thread or Barry thread, or is it we just need yet another bleedin thread about the same thing.

As its not actually Anfield lets get the best deal possible for the name, I would hate to have seen the naming rights for Anfield sold off.
