It was a real shame that Arbeloa wanted to go, he was steady in defence while chipping in with the occasional assist, and overlapping pretty well. He wasnt a world beater forward but at least he was reliable and always put in a shift. I would much rather he had stayed. As for Konchesky, too early to judge imo but i thought he was ok at best. There were times during the game when i was screaming out for him to close down the attacker but he deserves a few more games at least i guess...

Roys comments after the game summed him up for me, we are f***ing Liverpool not Fulham I wouldnt care if they hadnt lost at home for 20 years we shouldnt go into a match expecting not to win. It defies belief that he thought it was the right thing to say, we were ordinary and so is he. The game was crying out for some pace and inventiveness, I know Babbel has some haters on here but at least give him a chance - surely he may have done more than Maxi or Jovanovic??? I think Carra is definitely not at his best atm, but Skittles is having a nightmare, Agger should be playing alongside Carra at least he can bring the ball out of defence and can pass the ball better than Lucas and Poulsen

I agree with this, i know its early but I am struggling to be optimistic following what i have seen so far this season.

There is always the possibility that a deal has been done but not announced, but bearing in mind that they announced everything individually today...i will just let go of those straws...

I hope so, ffs i would rather keep Babbel, at least give him one more season under Woy and see how it goes. He does bring some much needed pace to our attack, and as for Cole he cant finish, is always injured and basically s****. He makes even Heskey look like someone who stayed on his feet...
