I would make do - just about

I know it can be looked at from different angles, potential targets etc - but I keep seeing names like Downing, Adam, Jarvis getting mentioned. I hope its rubbish but I am concerned that we seem to be targetting primarily British players, Young would be good and possibly Cahill (jury is still out on him imo) - as for the others they are just not good enough.

Agree, Downing and Adam not exactly what we need to have us challenging, dont really know much about Jarvis - up and coming winger at Wolves? I hope they are in the squad filler category

Sure, It was the timing as I remember hearing about a few months after we had been sold. Definitely seemed like present to self for the "good" work he did in selling us

Would be happy with Young and Enrique as our first two signings, need a few more of similar level if not better and we would be well set. An aerial dominant CB Playmaker for CM (wish list = alonso or alonso clone - Javier Martinez?) A decent young striker Add to that a couple of squad fillers and things would be looking good

Agree - he definitely looked alot more up for it when Kenny took over - got 4 in 3 or something like that iirc. He was starting looking like his old self tbh, I am sure he will do well next season - its only a matter of time before he finds his form/confidence.

Would definitely take Xabi back - amazing player and even now watching him in a Madrid shirt pains me. Torres - now thats a different story, if its cheap then why not...though it would never be the same

I am not sure re chill haven't seen enough of him. The team needs balance, out of the players listed I would like us to sign Young and Enrique. Though Adam is a good player I have my doubts about his ability to put a shift in, great going forward but he is very limited defensively. We really need a masch type player. I am hoping for a positive summer but I can't get away from the feeling that we are targeting mainly English players (the post re downing reinforces this), who unless exceptional have limited technical ability. I could be wrong we are seeing the likes of Mvilla and the cm from Rennes linked. Young & Enrique with a few other quality additions would imo be a good summer. I also expect we will be signing a few good squad players to provide some depth. I just hope some of the average players linked recently are with that in mind...

Will have to wait and see re the summer but I do have concerns if downing is one of the player we are after...Young would definitely be worth a bid, quick, direct player who has good delivery and I think would do really well alongside Carrol and Suarez. In my opinion i think this is likely: Enrique Adam Young / Downing (please no) Cahil What are the thoughts on that? I think we need a replacement for Masch - would love to see Javier Martinez but i doubt its going to happen
