I am not too fussed about Adam or Lennon tbh, its been said before but this fascination with overrated British players needs to stop if we want to start competing for the title again. I agree that Downing will bring some much needed width but he is average, not a great player by any stretch of the imagination. I hope there is some truth in these Mata rumours

Exactly - though Raul had some injury issues last season I thought he did well, was a good player and fits the way I assume (pass and move) we want to play. Intelligent on the ball, eye for a pass and a goal threat from midfield - selling him would be a loss to the team

Agree, looks solid and dependable while not being too flash - has the Arbeloa look about him imo which is exactly what we need
