He is starting to look alot more interested and sharper imo, getting into good position and scored a good goal today. Its only a matter of time before he is scoring consistantly for the chavs imo.

I expect its something inbetween, but my main concern is the lack of protection from midfield, Lucas is having to do too much as Adam just vanishes and is pretty lacking from a defensive POV Havent been on twitter, but i thought Carroll did well today, good link up play and he put himself about. Though he should have scored at least one of his chances and he needs to read the game/anticipate better imo...was on his heels a few too many times. But that is probably one of the best performances I have seen from him - bar Man City perhaps.

I agree his play today was alot more encouraging, linked up well with Suarez...though his failure to get on the end of good passes etc is a bit frustrating, like you have said he is on his heels too much. Its been a recurring theme every time he has played

Agree with that, its too pedestrian at the moment. I think Henderson will make way for Gerrard

FT 2-1 Carroll had a chance late on but couldnt get his shot away, some great patches but also some really poor ones. Another poor showing from Henderson, we really had nothing down the right until Kuyt and more importantly Gerrard came on. Suarez was exceptional again, thought Carrol did pretty well tbh. Adam was totally non existant post about 60 mins, he needs to be subbed. Biggest positive for me was Gerrard, looked really good when he came on...making long pacy runs, added that much needed creativity instantly when he came on. Really hope he stays fit

I thought Coates did well when he came on v Spurs and Brighton (except a couple of mistakes), I am sure he will continue to get game time. I just dont think it will be against Wolves, I reckon he will start getting game time but I think it will be a few more games before he starts (in the pl anyway).
