  1. I just couldn't resist seeing how long it would take you to bite....& you didn't let me down! Actually OM you seem half reasonable.....for a Manc! Slur Alex does get away with murder though over penalties, time keeping, motoring offences etc
  2. It's worth playing Bellamy alone for winding up the one hit with the interbred stick, Gary 3 facial hairs Neville. Bellamy is just the type you want to get under the skin of Manc defenders. I'd see Vidic or Brown up-ending him for a penalty, if only that refs don't think you can give them at OT with Slur Alex watching.

    bolo

Exactly what I was shouting at the TV repeatedly last night. On about the 8th airing my wife informed me that she had got it! The way things have panned out though, it's Momo cover we lack & Didi gave us that. Finally amen, I'd rather have kept Didi over Zenden or Warnock, and instead of buying Aurellio (although Gonzalez is now also concerning me a little).
  4. I can't see us keeping a headed goal out the way we're defending as shown again tonight. Hope Kuyt gets a goal or 2 though.
  5. I also think Neil is a pretty reasonable defender. He struck me on Saturday (in a 3) as competent, able to cover acros the line, and not short of commitment. I'd welcome him in January or next Summer.
  6. It happened to me on Saturday at the Blackburn game! It was about half an hour in , and I'm on my way back from the fantastic toilet facilities* in the Paddock (er...yes & a mile away) and I've walked back out and the ball comes to me. I threw it back to Riise but in truth I was a bit stunned as it came to me & it seemed to happen in slow motion, with me thinking "I'm going to fumble it"! It was incredibly nerve racking & almost surreal. * Sign of age. 2 pints of Guimess pre-match at the King Harry, a Coffee at the ground & I can't get through 45 minutes
  7. And with Kuyt injured & out for 2 games, will get on the bench at worst for the next 2 games (I think he'll start 1 game).
  8. Spot on Fred. But Sami's age is overblown. He's 32, never been quick, not exactly fat! & could play for another 3-5 years with rest, good diet etc. How old was Pellegrino, Maldini, Baresi, Morten Olsen at their tail end career?
  9. My Top 10 1 King Ken 2 Rushie 3 Stevie G 4 Robbie 5 Digger 6 Souness 7 Hansen 8 Molby 9 Nicol 10 Clemence
  10. Think you're a bit unfair to put it mildly. I think Momo with Gerrard, or Alonso playing much higher up the pitch is the way we need to go. Take Momo out of the team like midweek & you notice he ain't there very quickly. We weren't bossed today, they had 2 chances (?) and scored both? Momo stops opposition attacks & strangles the other team's play. It doesn't get the rewards it should when you don't convert chances like each away game this season.
  11. Had to turn off with 2 mins of injury time left as I feared I'd kick the TV in. We may have had 3 tough away games but we haven't scored in any of them. We've also had bouts of possesion in all 3 which we've not converted into a goal, it's a predictable thing now an away game to a Top 6 team. We ain't gonna win the title again this year, and I am trying not to see things too out of perspective at this moment. However it ain't there, the width is not there (Pennant was poor again), the midfield is sitting too deep, the forward combination isn't working & Bellamy looks too tense for his own good now. Pluses-Agger & Momo, but it's about blending your individual strengths into a team & we are not doing that well enough. Don't you just hate days like this!
  12. RP-I don't think I'm talking bo**ocks, any more than you do! I'm trying to discuss it an adult fashion also, it's just the importance of the club to you and I both that draws the reaction. On a re-read the sanctimonious bit was OTT-apologies on that point!
  13. Like me you obviously mean! By the way, living in Jersey some of the time to pay less tax-what a crime! He should live in the Dingle & give it all way & offer to pay 80% Tax on everything. There is so much hyprocisy on these matters it beggars belief. Well you and I both don't have 100% knowledge on every matter related to this, or indeed foresight to predicting the future as it would be under every scenario of ownership. But do us a favour please-don't get all sanctimonoius that only you & your cohorts feel that Liverpool FC is so special, ownership priviliges etc. I am sure we all feel like that, and wouldn't be on here most days (or part own it in your case) if we weren't passionate about the club. I'd be happy with Kraft, IF what people say is true (and I'm sure I've less knowledge than you in your position) but I remain amazed at the venom Morgan seems to draw for the wrong reasons. No doubt the 'clique' will put me in my place, but it's a free country still...just!

    URGENT!

But posing with that club's (admittedly very rare) trophies in that kit? OUCH! I'm a bit suprised, if not dissapointed. From about 7 I was a Red (nothing before I stress) & wouldn't have dreamt of wearing any other team shirt, as I would have thought most fans would have thought. Perhaps I'm different, but surely I'm not?

    URGENT!

Honest? (Not having read his book) I always thought it was his cousin Anthony in the picture, digital trickery or something! How does he explain it away in the book? How would his Dad, a fanatical red?, have let him?

    Kuyt

I think he's got all the attributes we hoped for in Morientes but never got. His shot 1st half was great but unlucky. His miss 2nd half was just pressure to score his 1st goal, under pressure 1-0 down late away. when he scores his first goal I think he'll fly, and go on a good run. Think we'll see Fowler & Crouch on Wednesday, but I'd be tempted to play Crouch & Kuyt.
  17. Yup...good old Arsenal
  18. Not in league games mate, if only.
  19. But David, don't let pronounciation get in the way of a good song link
  20. No! It was the wife's snoring woke me up!
  21. Sung to the tune of 'Crazy Nights' by Kiss. "This is crayshee, crayshee, crayshee Kuyt" Now all I need is somebody here to complete the verse & we'll go 50/50 on the copyright & credit.
  22. In that game V the Mancs (on ESPN) just watch Barnes, he was majestic, one of the best players I've ever seen between 97-99.
  23. The Key words from Bascombe. Although the transfer window is closed until January, the Reds would still be able to sign out-of-contract players before Christmas. That's an avenue the club may still explore in the coming weeks.
  24. Or more likely he plays CB, & Carra plays RB. Other option than Godwin Antwi can play there (has for reserves I think & saw him 2nd half of one of the pre-season games there). Or Neil comes in sept as a Free Agent after buying out his contract.
  25. But as had been said, if Neil can buy out his contract last 12 months, he doesn't have to sign by midnight. Free Agents can sign anytime. Think we'd have heard by now if Warnock was involved though.
