  1. A season ago I would have concurred....just! BUT Luis scores big goals in big games against big teams....more so than I recall with Aimar. So whilst I wanted Aimar to come over with Rafa in the early days, I'd prefer Luis to stay given the choice....again...... just!
  2. and at Stamford Bridge.
  3. Oh you big TEASE
  4. This content is not viewable to guests.
  5. Was he their Scout? Does he go back to the Rafa days? Don't know of him! Also, whatever happened to Rafa's Old No 2 at Valencia who stayed & got the job after Ranieri, to lost it 6-9 months later! (Lopez?).
  6. The blokes were ALL there! I can't name them (obviously a fan rather than a fanatic!) but recognised them all (they'd been on Jools Holland's Later only a few days before. I spoke with the singer about a hero Eddie Vedder (I can name him! and all the others in the group!!) and how was he etc?
  7. Adam-RELAX-We're happy for Wrexham & you welsh to stay in Wales, near but far enough away

  9. Where (out of curiousity) does it mention as if it's in England in the previous posts? And if it is a question, NO-it's a s**tole across the border, 10 miles from a good place
  10. Kev-I think it was greatly influenced by winning the European Cup, Summer boredom repealed earlier than usual, & a good price (wasn't it about £15 from memory?).
  11. [ Or at least the Singer! (band behind! bar the girl Sax player) with me & oldarses anonymous! Good Band! Great Football Choice!!
  12. From 'The Onion Bag' (Chester City Website Forum) City in talks with winger By City Staff Date: 23/5/2006 City are in talks with former Liverpool winger Ritchie Partridge over a move to the Deva. With the departures of Ryan Lowe and Ben Davies in recent months, City are devoid of attacking options from wide areas with Mark Wright clearly seeking an out and out winger for next season. 25-year-old Partridge started his career at Anfield and was tipped for a big future with the Reds but failed to live up to his earlier hype. Loan spells with Coventry and Bristol Rovers gave him experience but he still couldn't break into the first team. A permanent transfer to Sheffield Wednesday last summer looked to be the kickstart the Irishman needed but the move didn't work out. Despite the Owls struggling in the Championship, Partridge made just 6 league starts. With Paul Sturrock wanting his own players at Hillsborough, Partridge was shown the door and is believed to favour a move back to the North West. Chairman Stephen Vaughan confirmed that the club were in talks with the overall aim of improving the quality of the squad. "We have had talks with the player's agent, and we know that he is keen to return to the North West," he told the Daily Post. "Mark (Wright) knows the player well and we have arranged for further discussions to be held later this week. "Ritchie is one of a number of players we are talking to at the moment, and some of the potential targets are extremely exciting. Our aim is to improve the quality of the playing squad we have at the club."
  13. Good on her Cliff-Tell Rushian about 45 honours in his thread 'Is Reality Biting'?
  14. Apologies! I obviously meant the magnificent Xabi!!
  15. FA Cup Won. European Cup 12 months ago. Rafa happy here. Stevie G, Momo & Sissoko in midfield. Carra & the defence as a whole, with re-inforcements arriving. Gonzalez due in & promising reserves like Anderson. It's tough being a Liverpool fan Rushian, let's all support Newcastle instead.............
  16. Sod it then....build a 100,00 capacity stadium
  17. 2006 End of Season Poll: Player of the Season: Top 10 1. Steven Gerrard 33% 2. Jamie Carragher 26% 3. Xabi Alonso 12% 4. Momo Sissoko 8% 5. Steve Finnan 4% ?? 6. Pepe Reina 5% 7. Harry Kewell 5% 8. Sami Hyypia 2% 9. Robbie Fowler 1% 10. Peter Crouch 1%
  18. Nail on head Anny! Said the same thing in an earlier thread.
  19. Thought you hadn't got a ticket Kev?
  20. Me & my mates were staying in Cowbridge on Friday Night. Over the umpteen beers Richard say's about the Top 10 Players poll ( I think on the official site?). We discuss who's our best ever thereafter. I & my other mate go for King Ken (we're old 'uns now!) & Richard goes for Digger. But I then added (prophetically?) "But Mr Gerard is getting awfully close to that spot for me". Stevie you did it, you displaced Kenny. That 3rd goal (his 2nd) is the best I've seen I think in 35 years in the circumstances. WHAT A MAN!
  21. I booked 2 rooms at the Bear Hotel in Cowbridge on the evening of the Semi. There wasn't much else available then!
  22. http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/mediawatch/drill...060423-0858.htm The report in the People (link sourced through the LFC Official web site) refers to Cech in goal repeatedly. From where I sat & stood at OT yesterday I could have sworn that it was Cudicini
  23. Agree Anny. Even spoke with a couple of Manc stewards inside, who after amazement that one of us talked to them, had a good conversation & wished us (reluctantly) luck because they hate Chelsea as much as we do along the lines of "We [MUFC & LFC] may not like each other but at least we're both proper big clubs with history, Chelsea are a Frankenstein club".
  24. As said Poll gave every 50/50 to Chelsea and a few 40/60's too!
