Anyone else a member of this? I've been a member for 10 years now, always get tickets for the championships through it, and this year they've fecked up the way they are allocating and this time I haven't got any. I'm now looking at the best prices for tickets and obviously it's .loads of money. Anyone else having this problem?

Is right. It's the statement of intent that is important rather than how long the extension is for. 1 year or 3 years makes no difference in realk terms, unlike platyers contracts, as they can walk out pretty much when they like for no compensation (relatively) to the club. By signing any sort of a new contract he is saying "i'm staying" and that is all that matters.

Is it just me who doesn't really rate Defoe? He certainly couldn't hold a candle to Owen.

For one liners Tyldsley is best IMO. His comments at the end of the semi with Chelsea and the way he says it is what does it for me. When Gerrard scored in Turkey - "Hello, hello, here we go", "you never know with Liverpool" He's actually a very nice fella, and although unashamedly a manc, he is a superb commentator IMO. Was it his commentary at the end of the FA Cup final in 2001? "Michael Owen has won the c up all by himself". Lump to the throat time.
