I think the Chelsea system makes him look better than he is. He is given free rein to get into goal scoring positions as he plays with Essien and Makelele behind him. Therefore he plays more like a secodn striker than a midfeilder. He is Chelsea's Paul Scholes. You only notice him when he's scored a goal. Other than that he may as well not be on the pitch.

I think Brian Hall played 11 when he was in the same team with Peter Cormack, but I don't think they played in the same team much did they?

And what about numerous games against us, Arsenal, Man U, Barca that he has been nowhere to be seen, and I mean NOWHERE? He is the football fraud of the 21st Century.

So many times in so many games Lampard's running is irrelevant. Youforget he is playing in so may matches as the game just passes him by. He does not have the ability to take hold of a game like someone like Gerrard does and run it at his tempo. If it's a big game against a big team with propper palyers, Lampard is nowhere to be seen, and that is one majopr reason why England will not win the World Cup. Gerrard will be doing 1 1/2 persons workk in the middle. I'd drop Lampard for someone like Carrick and leave Bevkham in the middle. That way Gerrard can perform everything Lampard does and more

Makelel and Essien do the midfield work for him giving him licence to attack. He doesn't have to do the same amount of work as a Gerrard which is just as well as he can't.

Lampard is the most overrated footballer in the history of English football. Chelsea have to play two midfielders with him to make up for his failings as a midfielder. He can't run or tackle whioch are quite importnat for midfielders, and can someone please tell me when he stood out in a big game? To my rtecollection he hasn't. Never played well against a big team in a big game and invariably goes missing for vast periods of a football match. He has become again what I thought he was when he left Chelsea. An average midfielder. If you go like for like when you play Chelsea, you enjd up with 3 midfielders against 2 1/2. That's the way to play Chelsea. Someone on here likened him to David Plat. That is exactly what he is.

There is no chance he would leave Lyon for N'Castle. Straight from the horses mouth about 5 minutes ago. Expect him holding a black and white scarf very shortly then. Non commital about the England job but said his personal life isn't exciting enoufgh for him to be offered the England job.

Are you seriously saying that rtying to get us involved with tahksin and the way it was handled wasn't a joke?

They did a crap job vetting people then when you look at the debacle with Thaksin.

You copuld also infer that the board think Hawkpoint have done a crap job (they were meant to find investment and two years later we have none) and hqave gone with someone else. That's my take on it.
