If people on this board who are not in the football business claim to know what's going on re: investment, why it it out of the realms of possibility that the actual players may have heard something?

Probably a lot more than anyone on this board.

No crisis time at all, but all we have is innuendo and hearsay and no concrete proof that any funding has been secured. All we have are a couple of nudges and few winks and people immediately assume we have billions of pounds. Believe it when you see it and not before. We've had too many false dawns on this front before.
