We can still get fourth if we win all of ours games and everyone else loses theirs. No idea what Rodgers has been doing not replacing Sturridge with the £10m Italian international striker he signed in the summer. First time I have really wondered what the f*** he was playing at with his tactics (Downing aside).

There is only one success there, as in he is still here playing for us and is of the standard we should be buying and that is Luis. The rest in our squad are either not good enough (Downing) or have serious question marks over them (Enrique, Assaidi, Allen, Borini, Henderson). I've thought we were the worse club in the transfer market in the past five years and this just confirms it, it is crazy that list. The positive thing is that Sturridge deffo looks like being added to the success list and there are high hopes for Coutinho so hopefully we are getting better at this as it is major...

Would like to see Suso playing behind Borini with Sterling and Assaidi out wide.

Deffo and even better now we have that striker from Chelsea who I believe is now better than the one they bought off us. Monday was the most horribly frustrating game I've watched in ages and we have had a load of them in the last few years, felt like the final nail in our chances for 4th when we have easy the best fixtures in the run it for it too.

We should have won our last three league games and been in with a real chance 2-0 up with 30 mins to go at Arsenal 2-1 up with 10 mins to go at City A pen at 80 mins at home against a West side who hadn't had a shot on goal Thats 7 points dropped in about 50 mins of footy.

FWIW I think our signings in January have been excellent - unappreciated and talented young, hungry players who we got for less than they are worth. We need to be very, very smart in the summer with no champs league in sight now and they are encouraging signings.

The balance of our midfield isnt great. We have worked best in the past five years having a holding playmaker (Alonso), an aggressive presser of the ball (Masch) and an attacking midfielder who can help out the other two and score goals (Gerrard). In fact I'm 100% certain that at that time we genuinely did have the best midfield in the world. I love Lucas, I'm just not sure he is a playmaker, Henderson is an excellent presser of the ball but he is playing quite far forward and ahead of Gerrard and as good as Gerrard has been lately and he really has been, I still think he is our best option as the furthest forward.

I'm really looking forward to seeing them all start together as our new f***ed up front three
