Biggest compliment I can pay him is that we look a much better team with him in the side. I think he suits what the style Rodgers is slowing introducing peffectly, his pressing is excellent and his passing is very good. I think our first choice midfield is now Lucas, Gerrard and Henderson now and that is massive for him as he has ousted the managers £15m signing from that. It is now one of Allen / Lucas and then Gerrard and Henderson for me now.

This could actually make him MORE effective, which is a frightening thought... Having Sturridge ahead of him taking defenders away, making runs etc will leave him with the sapce he's probably never had in England before, scary thought... and you know his work rate will mean their DM wont get a seconds peace too.

Surely striking options are better on the pitch than the bench, especially when we have struggled to score too many times this season? I will say I put that front four in my formation early in the thread and everyone called me crazy, seems I'm not the only one. We need to win these games, best chance of winning is having players on the pitch who can score, that they horrible b******s from down the M62, seems to work for them, why not us?

Our midfield should always look something like this for me: Lucas - Gerrard/Allen/Henderson Number 10 We havent got a proper good number 10, Shelvey and Suso are number 10s but neither are anywhere near there yet. Sneidjer would do it, him and Gerrard causing a lot of mischief... Think he means his best days are behind him...
