  1. Isn't his name 'Wax Ruddock' now. Please address him by his proper name...
  2. My CV just says 'better centre-half than Nicky Tanner' on it...
  3. 'The c***ery of Materazzi' a quality film title...

  8. Strange thing is that Bojinov has gone the other way though on a season long loan. Wouldn't have thought he'd want a season down in Serie C...
  9. Thats absolutely right - any perceived leniancy will have a knock-on effect. Whatever they do to Milan, Lazio and Fiorentina, they have to do worse to Juve. I can't see the first three getting away with anything less than relegation to Serie B, which means Juve have to go down to Serie C.
  10. Is his back alright now then? I thought his back problems caused him to retire. Perhaps the back injury was a smokescreen and he really did retire for the right reasons - ie because he was totally s***.
  11. This smells like another Irish betting scam. I'll wager dollars to doughnuts Sean is behind this...
  12. Juve down to Serie C, Lazio, Fiorentina and Milan to Serie B, all with fines and points deductions...
  13. Yes indeed - like Jabba the Hutt, but fatter, uglier and more annoying...
  14. Goalscorers often tend to lose the knack of scoring when they hit 32 as well. Rushie is a good example, and there are far more stop getting goals than go on to a ripe old age netting regularly. Shearer scored far less after he hit 32. Imagine Trezeguet without the goals. You may as well play a fresh iceberg lettuce up front, it'd do more in the build-up.
  15. I've read into this a lot myself, and I think so too Fyds. I actually believe that many Italian people will look at their win in the World Cup as a chance to start afresh for their game. Also this affects numerous teams such as Inter, and the clubs in Serie B looking for promotion. Any leniancy to the clubs on trial will be punitive to them, which would be totally unfair. Keeping the big clubs up would have serioius repercussions for the future, and could ultimately cause more controversy than sending them down...
  16. I can only think Sunderland have promised to bring in Princess Leia as his number two, and allow him to throw under-performing players into the Sarlacc Pit...
  17. £4m plus a relatively unknown player Inter are paying Palermo for Grosso. What a f*cking bargain - Palermo should have held out until after the World Cup, he's probably worth thrice that amount now...
  18. I have consistently slated Ibrahimovic on here, yet concede I would be very excited if we signed him. How the f*ck does that work?

    Alves

Can't we just smuggle Alves out of the country in someone's suitcase or something? This really is getting ridiculous...
  20. They call him 'the snake', which suggests to me he has a good tackle on him. Should play him in defence...
  21. Possibly - I can't keep up with that rule, sometimes it seems to apply sometimes it doesn't. Is it only within the same country they can't move twice? Because Kromkamp moved twice within no more than 6 months or so going to Villareal then moving on to us...
  22. I'm getting my Dad to pick me up a Palermo shirt from his hols in Sicily. Bit gay I know as its pink, but a shirt you can't get over here and they are a quality side at the moment...
  23. To explain this - apparently most of the votes (journalists vote for this one) are placed up to or during half-time in the final...
  24. I think with him holding the ball up as well as he does, plus his technical ability, he'd be extremely well suited to Rafa's style of play. I've got a feeling he's going to be brilliant this season, and his price will skyrocket. I know they paid £7m for him, but I'd like to see us test them with £9m and see how much the player wanted to come here...
  25. That'd be about right! Regarding the 'pony' - Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Inter Milan all chasing him... http://home.skysports.com/worldcup/article...;lid=9&nav=
