  1. I don't think his goalscoring record, be it in Holland or not, suggests Kuyt is a player in the Heskey vein; a team player who doesn't score. Whatever he did in the World Cup, fact is he is a team player who does score.
  2. Not really though mate - I mean in the first interview he suggests Kuyt is unlikely to be at Feyenoord come the start of the season, but in the second he makes out there's very little chance of him going anywhere. He's saying a fee hasn't been agreed fine, but he gives totally different views on the situation in each set of comments...
  3. His agent seems like a complete f*cking nutter...
  4. Reports today are definitely saying we've signed him. Who knows - the crazy Spanish media are always giving us plenty to chew on...

  6. Stop feigning interest in Elisha's holidays so he'll give you transfer news...
  7. Fabio can want all he likes, and bite our collective shiny metal asses.
  8. No I didn't think so. Why must people say these strange things?
  9. Where has he said that? Seems strange after he said just yesterday on the BBC that he'd probably be leaving...

  12. Suppose so. East Midlands is quite a nice area though...
  13. Does anyone else think its strange the way football in the Midlands has declined so badly. Clubs from East to West of that area of the country have suffered different levels of decline, ranging from greatly disappointing to disasterous. Forest of course are the worst of the lot - how many twice European Cup winning clubs are currently languishing in the third divisions of leagues around Europe? Also Derby, Wolves and now Birmingham and West Brom all big clubs with decent size grounds languishing in the lower divisions. Even the last Midlands representative in the top division, Villa, are in a serious crisis at the moment, and didn't finish a million miles away from the drop zone last season. Any thoughts on why this is? Coincidence? Economic reasons? I know only Forest could have ever been termed one of the really bigger names in the country in terms of success, but for only one representative in the Premier League to be from the Midlands seems strange.
  14. I think they'll want to sign better than them in all honesty. Trez is a great goalscorer but does absolutely zero for the team; so slightly more than Inzaghi in other words. Zlatan was awful last season, but brilliant the season before, so who knows if they'd be interested or not?
  15. 'Headplay' sounds like some sort of sexual reference, I'm sure the News of the World would be interested. 'LE TALLEC IN SORDID HEADPLAY SHOCKER...'
  16. Is true, but now they've stayed up I fully expect them to sign a good un with the £34m they have from the sale of Shevchenko. No Champions League football will put a dent in that, but I expect they'll bring someone pretty good in to add to Gilardino and the ever-horrible Inzaghi. Would have thought they'd be interested in Toni now Fiorentina have gone down, but he doesn't seem to have been linked with them. Also they've always held an interest in Van Nistelrooy, surprised not to see them challenging Madrid for him.
  17. I don't think Roma are quite back to the level they were at a few years ago, Milan really should finish more than 15 points ahead of them if they keep their squad together. As for Inter - famous for being perennial under-achievers and living in Milan's shadow, can you imagine the pressure of starting 15 points ahead? The ridicule if Milan won the title even with a 15 point deduction? It would make for a fascinating title chase actually - I might stick a few quid on Milan to win Serie A next season if the odds are tempting enough...
  18. I think you must be confused - the story in The Express must surely have said Princess Diana was about to sign for Spurs before her tragic accident...
  19. He can play on the right quite comfortably as well which is a bonus. I hope we are interested if the price is anything under about £8m...
  20. Very interesting that, a new name for the list anyway...
  21. I was going to ask where Barnett was when I read the list. He looked one of the best to me, a good passer of the ball with quality from set-pieces.
  22. We absolutely need another striker, if not least for the reason both Fowler and Bellamy have been very injury prone throughout their career. Hoping they stay fit would be very unlike Rafa, who likes to cover all the angles...
  23. The 'Sack Parry' thing has become a running joke, nothing more. As far as I can see its just people being ironic about those who panic every time transfers don't run smoothly, and look to apportion blame...
