he may have been told that something is in the pipline, but DIC have said they they will decide to "make an offer or not" after they have examined the books. that hasnt been completed yet. so they dont know, therefore stevie doesnt know. It seems pretty nailed on that they will make an offer, but they wouldnt discuss that with an employee of the company they potentially hope to acquire. They would discuss there plans should things, as expected, go smoothly.

i dont think stevie has the faintest idea of whether DIC will make an offer or not. But clearly DIC have been discussing with important members of the club in order to pass on what the vision is
