  1. i was there and i agree with everything you said. i think about from time to time and i find myself with a silly grin and the hairs stand up on the back of my neck. i would be very surprised if the atmosphere is ever generated by any other stadium ever again. i would be very surprised if anfield could generate an atmosphere like that again. it was simply perefect, impossible to beat. i was at the final as well. the atmosphere inside anfield was better than istanbul, it will never be matched by anything ever again. as for league games, its not as bad. the s*** games are on a par with every other team in the league. the big games at anfield are better than anywhere else.. thats the way it always has been.
  2. was it not his prime motivation for leaving? he has admitted since he moved. he said he couldnt sit on the bench in the world cup year. where is the myth?
  3. It was harrys' decision to come to us. leeds had more money on the table from all the clubs than we offered. player power.
  4. i heard it to.

I was delerious. when the third when in, i flew forward and fell over the seats infront of me. i landed on my back was staring into the black turkish sky thinking i had died and gone to heaven
  7. whatever happened to the mast from the Great Eastern? there a are a few flag poles there now, is it still there? if so, anyone know which one it is?
  8. rambos' best ever goal.
  9. witht he exception of one season, stevie nicol was never considered a great outside anfield. what a fooking player he was! dripped in world class he was. what he and finnan have incomon, is an the wonderful ability of reading the game. i was talking to a blues**** after the game on wednesday. he asked me what i thought of yobo. i said he looks to have a lot of quailities, he said he makes excellent recovery tackles, but how come sami, jamie, and finnan dont? its because they read the game. its this that makes him a world class player.
  10. i think there are signs that he is willing to listen and learn. consequently it was probably his best game for us at the pit.
  11. Zambrotta from juve? last time i saw him he was playing left mid so we have established that there is one right back in europe better than our stevie? sell stevie he must be s***. stevie is class. the reason why he is class is becuase he reads the game better than all the previous list. is positional sense and covering is second to no one in europe. and as for being s*** going forward the guy started playing as a winger. plus he is equally as good with his left foot as his right. or doesnt that count as an attribute? i note non of the other list of players have that attribute, so it must be the case then.
  12. welcome back figaro, you have been missed.
  13. the premiership? is that when football started?
  14. I suspect that owens comments are in response to the bid from newcastle and not the other way round. think about it, we all woke up to day to the news of owens statement. a couple of hours later newcastle have cut through the red tape of a plc and put together a bid of at least 16m. this has then been sent to madrid, who have considered it at boardroom level and replied saying it is accepted. I can not see how this took a couple of hours after the release of owens statement. what is more plausible in my opinion is that newcastle made there bid yesterday or even before. Perez called owen in to discuss it, owen said he wants to go to liverpool, but if it means him sitting on the bench for 3 months, then he will go to newcastle on loan but will not sign a contract with them. i beleive that it is owen who has made a statement in relation to newcastle, and not newcastle making an offer in relation to owens statement. if this is correct it should strengthen our hand as owen has effectively rejected newcastle.
