Ah jaysus... I never realised King Kenny looked like Plug from the Bash Street Kids in his younger days... And to think I idolised him for years up until I saw that
It takes alot more energy to move a 20 stone object than a 12 stone object and keep it moving and all that Physics. Robinho in his limited appearaces undoubtedly ran more
Saturday 19 August 12.45pm Sheffield United v Liverpool Saturday 26 August 12.45pm Liverpool v West Ham Saturday 9 September 12.45pm Everton v Liverpool Sunday 17 September 1pm Chelsea v Liverpool Saturday 23rd September 12.45pm Spurs v Liverpool Saturday 30 September 12.45pm Bolton v Liverpool Sunday 22 October 1pm Manchester United v Liverpool Sunday 12 November 4pm Arsenal v Liverpool Saturday 18 November 5.15pm Middlesbrough v Liverpool Saturday 16 December 12.45pm Charlton v Liverpool Tuesday 26 December 3pm Blackburn Rovers v Liverpool The one thing I like about all our fixture is we play all the big sides away in the first half of the season and all the potential title rivals and CL position possibilities are home games in the second half of the season. With a good start this season against those sides we could put ourselves in a strong position early on leaving others with ground to make up.... I think I'm being realistic in saying we have genuine title hopes this season and a continutaion of the league form from last season should see us possible champions. I think I've talked myself into having a little wager
Why didn't you make it Theo and sensationalise it a bit! Source -->>> Englands World Cup Challenge in Ruins Englands potential progress in the World Cup has been dealt a blow with the news that they will have to compete now with only 2 recognised stikers in their squad. The news broke late last evening that Theo Walcott has been arrested in Baden Baden although at this moment details are quite sketchy. Initially it was believed that the England youngster broke some kind of curfew in place in the exclusive German resort but that was denied by local police. The local Police Commisioner Lieutenant Klaus von Hugenflufen said that it was possible the youngster broke a curfew but not one imposed by the local authorities. He did say however that the he had received some information from his some subordinates that Arsenal premiership star had committed a number of traffic violations The juvenile detention centre in Baden Baden was unavailable this morning for comment.
Looked more like the linesmans call... That was pathetic faking from Henry though. Every bit as bad as Rivaldo against the Turks last time around. Holding his face when clearly held off by an arm on the chest. I still think it was a free but Pablo should have got a better touch to it
Pernia was rubbish tonight and the Spanish teams weaklink. It was like watching Ian Harte playing for Espana. Sagnol gave him a lesson on how to play the full back role. He was a totally different class to Pernia. That said I'm not too gone on Abidal for the French
Who was the Rosseti guy for this evenings game. He reffed the game with a bit of common sense and it helped the game flow although I'd give most the credit to the two teams
That's super stuff Patrick. The elections that happen around sports clubs in Spain are fascinating. Sounds like they'd fight over the chads like they were in Florida for Bush's election. It will be an interesting summer for Real trying to regain lost ground on Barca. I've no idea can any of the candidates do it but thanks for the enlightenment on what they are promising.... Just one question... Who are Marca throwin their muscle behind?
Maradona is the most naturally gifted footballer ever. I remember some years ago the press in the US saying Michael Jordan was the greatest ever sportsman... It's just a pit they've never heard of football cos then they'd have to bestow the honour on Diego. Not taking anything away from Michael Jordan. Diego was the best at the biggest sport on Earth. Not exactly comparing like with like but no doubt he had his flaws and all. Some geniuses wrote music, some wrote scientific theories... Maradona was a genius with a football
I hear he can do a good man-marking job Joleon, joleon, joleon, joleon Im begging of you please dont take my man Joleon, joleon, joleon, joleon Please dont take him even though you can Joleon, joleon
Everton really are stepping up and stating their intent for next season with their acquisitions this week. I wonder how much Wolves ripped them off for. Over £8.5M for a penalty winner/taker and lord knows how much for Bambi on Ice. Fair dues to Kenwright for stumping up the cash but they're at best pushing for an Inter-toto spot.. You do have to laugh at the "demonstration of our ambition" statements
Oooops meant holders It's kind of a pity cos there were some good opening games over the years involving the holders like Argentina v Nigeria, Brazil v Scotland and France v Senegal.... 3 upsets
