Exactly right. It's the same situation as the manager - what decent manager would have wanted to come here? If we lose our star players then what decent player would want to come here? I'd love to see someone trying to put a positive spin on that situation. Only love or stupidity make us attractive right now.

I work with all sorts of nationalities - off the top of my head, there's Aussies, Indians, Chinese, Brazilians, Indonesians, Kiwis, Saffers, Pommies, Malaysians, Russians, Americans, Canadians. I reckon I'd get the sack if I said something along the lines of "We need to get an Aussie manager in to steady the ship".

Hang on, weren't you desperate to get Rafa out of the club? The least you can do is hope that the new guy is successful, rather than wishing that he falls on his a***. And why would he have to tell his story to a "decent newspaper". Oh yeah, that's right, because of g*******s who prefer to blame the position we are in on the manager before the owners.

No, their biggest crime is that they bought Liverpool Football Club and then transferred the purchase cost to the club as debt. In effect, they destroyed the 30-40 years of work that built the club into the position it was pre-purchase. I think you may have taken your eye off the ball here.

But it is a poor example of achievement. If we used the winning of the LMA award as a basis for manager recruitment then maybe we should have a look at the records of the previous recipients once they had won the award. I'm struggling to see any previous winner that has then gone on to be recruited by a BIG club. Maybe there's a reason for that.
