You are correct that it depends on some peoples version of world class. For me, World class means you would get into a world squad of 25 or so. At Liverpool, in my mind, our World class players are Gerrard, Masch and Carra. We are lucky that we have a lot of player at that stage just below (my version) of world class, such as Alonso, Finnan, Kewel (if he ever got back to form) Reina, hopefully Torres. Going on your definition though. Garcia is a full international, although not first choice like you say, he has won a CL and is at one of the top teams in Europe (at the moment, although looks like he's off) but with your definition in mind that means Riise is world class and at the time so was Traore, and Baros, and Cisse, and Smicer (sorry Hels) and Dudek, which to me, they weren't. I suppose it's like the word 'Legend'. Some fans throw out that term for any player who's kicked a ball for their club, whereas in my eyes we only have a handfull of legends to have played for us.
