But what annoys me about it is that it made f*** all difference on the game. We just had one of those days. Beardsley scores a perfectly good goal and is pulled back for a free on himself?? Barnes hits the post when it's easier to score. Aldridge has a clear clear penalty denied a few minutes before the one that was given. Jones just ran around the pitch that day looking like a dog chasing it's tail. We could have been playing that match up until now and it would still be 1-0 to Wimbledon, and it had f***-all to do with Englishman/Welshman/Irishman (delete as appropriate) idiot.

I've said Liverpool don't buy players to piss people off, we buy the players we need, so I am in agreement with you that is "has f*** all to do with pissing people off and more with building a squad". Sad that some Liverpool fans are backing up you without even reading my post. However, there is no question that Chelsea have bought players to stop other teams getting them. And I do think that your lot attempted this with Kewell as a replacecment was not need for Giggs in 2003 and signing Kewell would have served the purpose of back up and p[revent us signing the type of player that we needed.
