There's always a surge of new supporters if a club sign a player like this.......from asia, the US etc but it shouldn't be the be all and end all of the deal, if that comes along as a bonus then that's a nice extra.

Totally agree. He is a quality young player who would fit into our system perfectly. If it is at all possible for us to go for him now, he is a no brainer.

My take is that Fekir wants to move to us, the medical results were worse than expected, but not bad enough to walk away completely and go for someone else. His current club President has been trying to get another club involved to force our hand and get as much money as possible for the player, but as of yet that has been unsuccessful, possibly because the player has his heart set on moving to us. Genuinely believe he moves to us in this window.

I feel that we have continued to improve with every transfer window and each season. JK doesn't seem to want to buy players that he feels aren't right for us. I, as with all of us would love to see us going out and getting every player we want exactly when we want them, but from where we were a very short time ago and where we are now things are getting a lot better and the trends look ever more rosie. I really hope we can and genuinely believe that we will get the players we still want to target this summer but if we have to wait i will still trust that choices are being made for the right reasons.

I still see us signing Fekir and another Keeper, I would be surprised if we sign any others. After that trimming extra squad players out such as Ings, Sturridge, Origi, Grujic, Mignolet, Markovic will be the main job.

Fekir obviously wants the move he ain't likely to offer up ugly info which might risk the move even if he actually knows about it. The same can be said for his club. Possible injury situations are a always changing scenario, whatever or whichever the case, he has an issue and it looks like it may halt the move.

I think Karius has improved since getting the spot consistently, I would still like like us to sign a stronger and more well suited keeper to our style of play.

I would definitely have no problems with that, I personally would keep Ings next season too.

Never buy second best by choice, always get the best available that way you give yourself the strongest eleven and squad possible.
