  3. Please stop doing that. It's bad enough that I can't look at the word "Herald" anymore without thinking "Heddled" because of you.
  4. Probably because they will have an "exclusive" interview with him when he signs.
  5. The post match interview with Staunton was cringe worthy viewing. Even the most basic questions on tactics were greeted with a blank stare and some incoherent mumblings. It was embarassing.

  7. I agree with that. It would go against everything Rafa has done so far this summer if he sold Kromkamp and didn't bring anyone else in to replace him.
  8. Didn't someone post here yesterday that we were trying to sign two players from Italy? Maybe one of those will be a new full back.
  9. I bet West Ham are delighted about this friendly now. From Sky Sports Dean Ashton is unlikely to make his England debut against Greece at Old Trafford after suffering an ankle injury during training. The West Ham ace was all set to make his international debut against the European champions, however he is now set to miss out. Ashton damaged an ankle during Tuesday's morning training session and has been swiftly taken to hospital to undergo scans on the knock. New England boss Steve McClaren has bemoaned the timing of the injury as the former Norwich man was all set to make his international bow. "He's having a scan at the hospital now. It's clouded the morning," explained McClaren. "It's difficult when a young player goes down with injury. These things happen and we're all sorry to hear it happen."
  10. "Liverpool is very special. A European night there is very special. Those of us who have been privileged enough to have experienced it will never forget. You can take the man out of Liverpool but you can't take Liverpool out of the man. Craig knows what to expect. I was having the same chat to Xabi Alonso, who made his debut for me at Real Sociedad and then went to Liverpool." Well in Tosh
  11. Good move for him but it leaves us a bit light if Reina or Dudek pick up an injury.
  12. Redknapp and Roeder love telling the press all about their "enquiries" as well. "Yeah we're looking at this player and that player....he's the type of player we're looking for....shows our ambition....blah...blah....blah...etc...etc..."
  13. Donated to charity I presume Anyway there were only a few of us with him all the way, the rest of you are just glory-hunting b******s Well done Aldo
  14. Well that puts paid to all those rumours about Freddie. I mean, if a well known homophobe like Axl has no problem getting into a cab with him....

    Own up..

The exact words of a text I sent when I saw the line up : " We could be in for a bit of a hiding with that team "
  16. Ok. Not the guy I was thinking of so. Hopefully this Groucho is right though.
  17. Can you tell us this poster's name then Afgan ?
  18. Looks like the Killgallon rumour was nothing Leeds: No Reds bid for Kilgallon By Mark Buckingham - Created on 11 Aug 2006 Kevin Blackwell insists Liverpool have not enquired about Leeds United defender Matthew Kilgallon. Reports have claimed that the Premiership club are keen to recruit the 22-year-old before the close of the transfer window. Kilgallon, who has also been linked with top-flight new boys Sheffield United, has recently expressed a desire to stay at Elland Road. And Whites boss Blackwell rejected suggestions that he has fielded interest from FA Cup holders Liverpool. "Rumours that go round can affect people," Blackwell told Sky Sports News. "It has been seen to affect managers and players alike. Sometimes these rumours don't do anybody any good. "As far as I know there's absolutely no truth in this whatsoever, I was surprised when I found out yesterday. "Matthew Kilgallon's got a massive future at this football club and we're hoping that he fulfils it here." Blackwell is keen to focus on Leeds' game with Crystal Palace on Sunday, live on Sky Sports 1, and he is predicting a tight encounter. He added: "I think it will be a cracking game. Both of us are looking to get promoted, no doubt about that. "It's a great start to the season. When you look at it, he's (Peter Taylor) gone with some new players, new signings, and is there to make a mark, but so are we." Sky sports

    Riise to Chavs?

That made reading all seven pages of this thread worthwhile
  20. How's your campaign to become a Mod going ?
  21. Interview with Paul Walsh by Dave Usher on TLW. Talking about that incident with Kevin Bond : Full interview here
  22. You must be new to the whole Red Sox supporting experience. I can detect a glimmer of optimism in your posts that is completely at odds with what this team will do to you. BTW check out post #5 of the Children thread in the General Forum. f***ed if I know what happened there
  23. Always a good place to start.
  24. Is this the same Harry Kewell that just had his best season for us ? For free ? Lets just leave the left wing to two players who have never payed in English football before. One of whom is currently injured and the other who hasn't exactly set the world on fire in his pre-season games.
