It’s not if he thinks he’s genuinely next in line. Szobo is an international captain so he’s obviously higher in the pecking order. I haven’t checked who else was on the pitch but Jones has played loads of games. Tsimikas has just come back off a loan. If it’s taken seriously, it’s probably Jones.

I dunno. Looked very Wavertree the way he was kicking off. He did once batter a load of Evertonians. I can see how he’s looked round the pitch thinking he stood a chance when Szobo went off. He’s either felt snubbed and/or that the armband isn’t being taken seriously enough. Tsimikas is a little bit much.

It is a bit funny though that it was Tsimikas wearing the captain’s armband and neither him or Szobo were arsed. It is the Liverpool captaincy like even if it’s for a minute. Remember the big deal made about Endo when we were in Japan. Not on the pitch though lad.
