It's one step away from 'a perfect storm' which seems like the hail mary for people trying to stay in a job.
-
Yeah there's still a decent argument to do some business this summer even if Alisson stays. Sell Mamadarsh and get in someone who can start 2027.
-
Are we going to sign a right back? Gomez and Jones both look like they'll be off, Bradley supposedly not back for pre-season. Are we really going to start next season with just Frimpong at right back?
-
Having the season review before the season's over. Him and Hughes must have flights booked for Sunday evening. See you in July.

The players too! Thinking these lads who look like they've hated every second of this season. And the manager's going to rock up on the first day of preseason with a 19 year old from the bundesliga and say, "it's fixed now, so you have to start playing for me again."
-
So he's still telling us, with a straight face, that he's going to fix it but he hasn't figure out how yet. When he's already had 8 months to think about it.
-
Yeah, without meaning to sound too much like an Arne Slot long-read, he deserves some credit for building a new side after losing his back four in the summer/ best player in January.
-
Where does Andoni sit in the scouse Anthony matrix. Would he be an Ant? Is there a bald polo shirt wearing counterpart called Doni?
-
They're basically the only side who've insisted on playing football all season. This is good. Bring back football.
-
Surely head-to-head record incorporates goal difference in those games? Feels mad to skip that point and go straight to away goals.
-
"He was not offered the role two years ago; at the time, he made it clear that he wanted to lead Leverkusen into the Champions League." So he wasn't offered the role because he'd told them he didn't want it. Excellent PR gymnastics going on there.

How many number 1s has God had? That Cliff Richard one. Does He get Christmas number 1s? Stay Another Day was good, fair play to Him.
-
Still think the interesting thing in this is the absence of Van Dijk. Always got the impression he fell out with Slot ages ago. Maybe he's just being diplomatic.
-
Haha, poor old Isak stuck on Real Sociedad's Dominos two-for-tuesday fitness regime.
-
It's like last season when they were still saying Chiesa isn't fit in March cos he never got a proper pre-season. I've never got the pre-season thing tbh. Players miss extended periods with injuries through the season, no one's saying they need 6 weeks of conditioning before they can look like a footballer again.
-
Yeah this is what I can see happening. Especially if Salah and Robertson don't start, it'll be loads of their songs, then the klopp one will get an airing if the game's not going well.
-
I was wondering if we might see some of them working with PTs before the world cup. They'll need to get their fitness up.
-
Virg still hasn't liked it mind you.

I was about to say it sounds like Graham Kelly! Also not sure if "commenting" is the right word. "Agreeing with"
-
Genuinely funny now that he's still saying he's going to fix it. But I'm not going to fix it yet. What would be the point in that?

We are very much in Hodgson territory. Just need Virg to blam a penalty over the bar. Run over and play the bosses head like a bongo. -

Was saying to my dad earlier I can see this being a, "nice kick about with the boys" for Villa. They weren't even arsed. Still battered us at a stroll. -

Guess which side here has a euro cup final coming up in 5 days time. Remember how spurs turned up against these when Villa weren't interested. -

Give this man £200 million to sign a midfielder and a replacement for one of our greatest players of all time. We'll be sound.
