Oof, Bastoni's already a villain in Italy for some daft reason, celebrating a red card or something?

I can remember other international breaks where they've come as a relief, but not sure if I can remember where I've been dreading coming back from one so much. Just checked the fixtures, we're first up 12:45 away at City. Absolute weekend ruiner. Can we not just have more international friendlies?

Would be incredible if that stat actually came out.

Can see why Slot effed off on holiday. Not a great time for him to be getting photographed stood next to the main fella.

Remember when we had those kits made by Warrior and they had the tagline "we come not to play" That's arsenal.

Arteta getting all he deserves. Coward.

How far ahead is your stream??

He could stay and work with the squad players he's been saying aren't good enough. It's a bad look for players to be turning up for training every day while he f***s off.

Yeah, the briefing went big on him being first choice when he was appointed, but there was a good period after Klopp said he was off before Slot's name ever came up. Pretty sure there have been reliable types saying we only moved on after Alonso made it clear he wasn't up for it.

I was too busy looking up the table instead of down. Absolutely dreading our game at their place.

Here I am, fully celebrating Everton goals

I've been wondering about floating the idea of Johnny High Tinger. League winning assistant manager don't you know.

Feel like we'd lose ground on finding a decent replacement if that's the case. Noises seem to have shifted back to Guardiola going at the end of the season.

He's had us playing for his job since that run of defeats. Tactics out the window, just try not to get beat. We had that run of easy fixtures where we should have been working on playing football again, but he's got us grinding out results against Burnley.

That's a t*** of a thing to say. Do you want him to play 80 minutes with a dead leg?

There's going to be a bit of a sliding scale when players are fed up. I'm sure they still want to win, but I think they look like they've got no confidence in what they're being asked to do.

I turned it off on about 85. Absolute confidence that we weren't going to score. Didn't even check the score til about an hour later.

Where we send it straight out for a throw by their corner flag? It was a Luis Enrique thing I think. Makes sense when they do it cos they press the life out of the opposition in a dangerous position from the resulting throw. We do not.

Yep, Gerrard's in the window of the studio, there were definitely some singing Alonso's song after it though. Seemed like it got shouted down tbf.

His press conferences that are like, "I know a lot of people have been saying I should rotate a bit more, but we all saw how that went am I right guys"

I wouldn't even mind it if he could back it up with xg stats or whatever. If we were making chances and the player couldn't finish, yeah there's only so much a coach can do. But we're absolutely miles from that. Can't remember a chance in the second half.

It's like he's leaning into the 'head coach' title. So he's happy enough to say the players should have done better. Ignoring the fact that the coach is there to set us up to win.

There was the mega-s*** performances when teams wiped the floor with us and no one knew what was going on. Since then we've been doing this Ten Hag at United routine where every game is him playing for his job. There's no excuse for him not to go and win this game, it was there on a plate. Even Ten Hag's United win that game.

It's a difficult argument to make when we won the league with about 14 players, but it's absolutely mad to see how unfit we've looked this season. We start games looking leggy, then get worse from there. People have talked about how Jota's passing disrupted preseason, but then we also played out the end of last season at a canter.

Yeah, there will be a point when he goes and the higher-ups throw him under the bus. Your James Pearces will flip to how poorly coached we look, as though that's news to anyone.
